The futuristic, Star Trek exterior hasn't deterred the masses from kicking back here since the early 90s. The club continues to be an epicenter of late-night hedonism with a heavy emphasis on dancing. This intimate yet spacious bar offers themed parties four days a week, catering to the top-40 crowd as well as the techno heads. Variety here is doled out like candy, with hip-hop, mash up, mainstream and house rotating for the benefit of a diverse constituent of patrons. Long, low tables seat 15-20.

I reserved a table and free entrance for 25 people with the club promoter.
First, at the entrance they said that they will let in only 12 people for free before midnight, not 25 as I scheduled with the promoter. The other thing was that we went inside and there was no table reservation for us. I went there with 9 people and we were waiting for 6 more people. We walk up and down to look for the table and there was no reservation made for us. Then I went back to the front door to talk to one of the bouncer. One of them came back inside with me and we start to walk around with the 9 people up and down and look like idiots. Then he said to one waitress from upstairs to look for the table for us. She point to me a table upstairs that only one person was able to sit at. Then I ask her to bring us the champagne and she lied to me that they are out of champagne. I said that this is a joke and I went back to the guy outside. He came back inside with me and called the waitress back and tells her to bring the champagne. Then he let us sit at a table downstairs, but he said that we can stay there only till midnight. After midnight he came back there and he said to 15 of my guests that we need to leave the table. Everyone was shocked. After we all moved from the table the table was empty. Nobody was sitting there till we leave the place at 3 am. All of the people I invited said that Crowbar lost all of them as customers. There is so many nicer and professional places in Chicago. That this was very unprofessional.
