What happened to customer service?. I would not reccomend going here at all! I called them to ask about the price of two piercings and was told $40 on two separate occassions, by two different people. When I arrived there, I waited over an hour for the piercing artist to pierce the ears of the three girls in front of me. When it was my turn, I realized he'd written $80 in the total field and inquired about the difference in price. He pointed me in the direction of the sales associate who was very rude and defensive and tried to make it seem as if I was the one being irate. After 2 minutes of getting nowhere with her I asked if I could have the name and number of the owner. She pointed me in the direction of three men and said "he's right there" Of course, I asked "which one?" to which she replied "the man with the hat." I looked at her like she was crazy and said "there are two men with hats." She had the nerve to get an attitude with me like I had been giving her the runaround. I ended up speaking with the owner and explaining the situation and he very nonchalantly said "Sorry. You were given the wrong price." I explained that sorry does not make up for the fact that I was quoted the $40 price twice, had driven out of my way to come to that specific parlor and had waited over an hour only to have the price double. The customer service here is non-existent and if you want anything done by the books, don't expect it to be done here. Please find somehwere else to spend your har earned money. The Silver Room does not deserve it.

Great Place. I wondered into The Silver Room for a party and I am glad I did.

This place is GREAT. This is one of the best businesses in Chicago. The owner, employees and patrons are polite, attentive, beautiful and cool. The jewelry is unique, attractive, appealing and reasonably priced. I definitely plan on returning. If you don't live in Wicker Park make a special trip to check this place out. You will not be disappointed!

Broken Promises - again and again. My boyfriend bought earrings here several years ago and recently lost one. We brought the one we had in and the proprietor promised to find replacements equitable in looks, size, etc. He promised me results in 2 weeks. This was the day after Thanksgiving and he's not called me once in 2 months. I am going there today to pick up my lonely earring and tell the man what I think of his "customer service".

If don't want service beyond the day of purchase, this place is great. If you are looking for a store to call your own - keep looking.
