Best beef In the states!!!. As an artist i have traveled all over the world.. Never in my life have I tasted a better Italian beef sandwhich. Not in New york not anywhere.. I recommend this place to everyone that wants to try, original old school Chicago style Italians beefs... as for the new owners I actually think that their doing a pretty good job since i do know that the original owners had it for over 40 years. I look forward to their success.!…
BETTER THAN BEFORE?. CHICKIES HAS A GREAT BEEF. I JUST LOVE THIER PAPER THIN SLICES OF CELERY AND PEPPERS THAT MAKE UP THIER GARDINERA... I THINK THE PORTIONS ARE ALOT LARGER THAN THE LAST OWNERS. THE FRIES ARE COOKED JUST A LIL BIT LONGER THAN BEFORE. NEVER LIKED THE SOGGY FRIES THE LAST OWNERS WOULD SERVE. TRY THE BEEF'S GARDINERA ON A CHEESE BURGER!!! MERDEROUS!!!! ONE TIP.. THE NEW OWNERS CAN HAVE BETTER HELP INSTED OF THE YOUNG IMMATURE KIDS THEY HAVE WORKING BEHIND THE COUNTER.…

I have been a long time customer of this beef stand (26 years), and can honestly say that this was the number one beef place. Unfortunately the original owners have sold the place. We visited the new
owners, and were very dissapointed.
We were given a cold Italian Beef, and a raw pizza puff, when we brought it to their attention, the lady behind the counter gave us our money back and in an unfriendly way said that she doesnt need customers like us and to leave (this being the owner). By this I am to understand she doesn't want customers that expect good food that is properly cooked and good service, mind you I say good and not great, I dont expect more then just enough.…

kids love thier hotdog, fries and gravey bread
adults can't get enough of thier Beef's and double cheese burgers
on a french bread. not to mention thier polish's, chili dogs & italian ices
which will give anyone in Chicago a run for it's money!…
4 Days, to find the best Italian beef in Chicago!. This is the place!! Like most great places to eat, this place is not pretty! Service is nothing to brag about, but if you want the Old Italian Beef and served the ol fashion way. This is the place!! I rate it 9 out of 10(I have only given a 10 out of 10 once in my life!!)…
