Great American pub with a menu to comfort your heart's desire. Inside is nice but their patio is best for a nice summer evening.

Don't go there. Walk in the door and no one there to greet you. Sign says SEAT YOURSELF. We sat down at one of two open tables and a man who worked there swoops in on us abusive, loud and crazy YOU CANNOT SIT THERE! Scared my son who thought he was drunk.

The service is bad. The food quality and value have gone down. And the ambiance is miserable.

I do not recommend going.

Service horrible.... Went there a couple of weekends ago, and the service was horrible. The bar was half-empty, and you would have thought the waitresses were subjected to working outside in 95 degree heat digging ditches with the way they interacted with people. Our waitress in particular was rude. Very "snappy" and not at all accommodating in any sense.

With as many places as there are in the Lincoln Square neighborhood, I will not be frequenting this place any time in the near future. Management really needs to ask their waitresses to go for personality transplants, because they surely need them!

See a movie, chill at the Daily. Conveniently located close to the Davis theater in Lincoln Square makes this an easy choice for pre- or post-movie watching. Traditional bar food is served up with a little kick, and food/beer specials area great. Outdoor seating in the summer is probably the most you'll find available in the neighborhood, but once it closes up it's a little tough on weekends to find a place to sit.

underwhenlmed at best. We arrived on Sunday afternoon, frat boys were yelling and swearing at the football game, no one to greet us at the door. The server is a vegetarian, has no knowlege of what meat is in the Philly Steak, the food arrives cold, burger is well done, not medium as ordered. Food is served on baskets with wax paper on top, drinks in a plastic cup, yuck. Disposable containers for these prices?! Ads for tampons in the bathroom. Gross.

Super loud emo music, this place belongs in a college town. Never going back.

ehh it's a bar. I've been to the daily on several occasions. It's close to the Davis so it's convenient for a before movie beer. The food is good, but it is just bar food. If you get a seat at the bar engage the bartender in beer knowledge. Not sure of his name bbut he really knows his stuff. The service outside of the bar (outside or in a booth) is mediocre. Often the bus boys do a better job on keeping up with you than you're waitress. And it doesn't seem to matter what time of day it is this is always true.

A Lincoln Square Homerun. I have been to the Daily several times over the past year. The hamburger and fries are one of the best I have had in the city. Service on the patio was a bit slow on one occasion, but overall the service has been good. Overall, good food and good value.

This renovated Lincoln Square hangout has lost its old-school flair, but hey--at least the bar food's great.. The Scene
Formerly a well-worn eatery popular with Lincoln Square's mixed hipster crowd, the Daily has new owners, who have renovated, reconceived and reintroduced it as a Lincoln Park-style bar and grill. The bar itself is still retro-cool, and there's plenty of natural light from two walls of windows. But much of the seating has been removed--save for a few high tables and booths--and the place feels like any other neighborhood watering hole.

The Food
The menu, too, has been simplified to basic bar food fare: wings, nachos, burgers, pizza, and comfort food like meatloaf and fried chicken. Wings are respectable, and the cheese quesadilla is outstanding: crispy and oozing melted chihuahua cheese. Pepperoni pizza works too (sauce is a tad sweet), but it's the fried chicken that will knock your socks off. From the flaky breading to the tender, juicy meat to the skin-on spuds dripping with beef gravy, it's an awesome, man-sized platter--and a bargain at just $9.95.

Am I in Lakeview. wow! who'd have thought that i could find such a cool place in my little neigborhood. my friends in lakeview and wicker park never want to come up here bc they say its not cool. that makes me wanna cry. they don't know what they are missing in the daily. i used to live in ny and this establishment offers that "we're a cool ny type bar thing" w/out seeming as if it is trying to be a "we're a cool ny type bar". if only my friends from the cool neighborhoods knew just how cool i was bc i hung out here. i am so ahead of the trends...... that is what makes this place and me so cool...yet not so trendy.

Location, location, location. The only thing this resturant has going for it is location. The food is even bad for bar food. The service is terrible. And it is overpriced.
