I got my money's worth with this firm. They helped me get a great job in my field, and provided me with much needed support throughout my job search. Their staff if very professional and supportive, and helped me focus my career direction and job search, providing me with a great resume, interviews with companies in my industry, and negotiations support.

"Over promise and under deliver." This company exemplifies this philosophy. I chose this company because of their promise to assist me in getting my foot into the door as I transitioned from one industry to another. After sending out hundreds of resumes and applications over the past 6 months, I have gotten exactly zero interviews. I went with this company because of the contractual obligation they had to help me network into a new industry. They provided me with exactly zero networking opportunities. In six months, I received exactly zero contacts from them that they initiated. ALL communication between us was started by me and most often, it took multiple tries to get them to respond. The bottom line: if you want to spend thousands of dollars on a new resume, then by all means sign on with them.

Almost gave them 5 stars. I was satisfied with the service I got from this firm. The cost was $4200, and my wife and I really had to do some soul searching before we sprang for it, but I don't reget it. WHY?? Because they helped me get a pretty good job after only 7 weeks, and in this job market, I think that's saying something. They also kept me on track in my job search, and didn't allow me to flounder or procrastinate. And they opened a few doors for me and focused my search. Finally, they gave me good advise on how to handle some interview issues I was having, and lastly, they greatly improved my resume.

They got the job done for me. Within two months of hiring Atherton Consulting to help me with my job search, I got a job. Not just any job, but a great job, in my field, at my level (which is over $100 K a year) and with a company I had been interested in for some time, but had never been able to get through the door for an interview before, but Atherton helped me uncover a great opportunity at this company which has NOT been advertised, and my consultant made contact FOR ME at the company, and this resulted in my finally getting noticed.

I have to say that the quality of the resume they did for me was also excellent, way better than the other two resumes which I had had "professionally" written by resume "experts" before I hired Atherton. And the quality of the research I got from this firm was awesome.... trying to research companies on my own on the internet had been much too time consuming and just didn't do it for me.

The best part of working with Atherton Consulting however (other than the great job I got) was the insights I got into myself and my career by working with my consultant. I now have a much clearer view of who I am in this difficult job market, and what I have to offer.

All in all, a very good experience.

I highly recommend this company. If you are unemployed or unhappily employed, and you need effective help in your job search, I would recommend you call this company. They will analyze your background and make very good recommendations to help you go in the right direction, and they will help you get through the door for interviews. Also, their coaching and help in my negotiations of a good job offer were invaluable.

Excellent Career Services. Atherton offers a wide range of career services, and they really helped me in my job search. Their consultants are very experienced Ex-business executives themselves, and very good at contacting hiring firms on your behalf. PS - pls. note that they are NOT at 1750 E. Golf in Schaumburg. They are located at 1375 E. Woodfield Rd. in Schaumburg. Anyway, I do recommend them, especially if you are stuck in your job search.

Very Effective Services. I really got effective help with my job search. Lord knows if I hadn't used this company to help me, would I still be unemployed now? I fear I would. Their staff is very knowledgable and helpful. Not only did they do great resumes for me (3 in all) but they identified good companies for me (one of which hired me) and go t me interviews. I offer a correction, however, the are located at 1375 E., Woodfield Rd., shaumburg, 60173, and NOT AT 1750 E. Golf Road. Hey Citisearch, update your records !!

Horrible service! An all around bad experience.. This company "Atherton" is awful. I went to them and they were undable to find me what I wanted. When I complained the did NOTHING to address my concerns.

I wrote to the "president" about my issue and she was totally rude and really stupid. I would not suggest using this service to anyone. Just plain awful ! I went to another company and they found me what I was looking for within a few weeks. And they charged less!

What a crock!
