Fast-food burger chain inspires cult-like devotion for its steam-grilled, all-beef Slyders.. In Short
A late-night crowd orders miniature burgers by the sackful at this castle-shaped Midwestern chain restaurant. The menu is short and sweet: hamburgers, cheeseburgers and double cheeseburgers, with all-beef patties steam-grilled on a pile of onions and served on square white buns with pickles. Extras like bacon and jalapeno cheese are also available, as well as non-burger options like fried chicken or fish sandwiches and sides of fries, onion rings and cheese sticks.

There Is No Substitute For When You Get The Crave. A Midwest and East Coast institution, White Castle markets it's little sliders as the cause for what many know as "The Crave". As depicted in the movie "Harold And Kumar Go To White Castle", "The Crave" can be very powerful indeed. Transplants to the West Coast can only treat their "Crave" with frozen White Castle sliders sold in a box at their local chain grocery store freezer. The slider is a small, 2" x 2" thin piece of beef sandwiched between two pillowy soft and warm buns, the signature pickle slice and sprinkled grilled onions. Sounds simple enough, but the true experience can only be obtained in person at an actual White Castle.
