great. I have eaten pies from this place since I was twelve and walking to The Museum and spending the whole day running the streets and Washington Park. Better yet after playing baseball for the Blue Gargoyle, we would go to eat there. Keep makin the pies!

Not bad. We were caught in a downpour on our way to this place, so we got coffee and Mexican hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was delicious; the coffee had grounds at the bottom. We got a pizza with goat cheese and sundried tomatoes, which was $11.95 for a medium and quite tasty! I got a house salad with creamy parmesan dressing--delicious!!! Ambience was okay, not great, but then, at least it was dry inside. :)

Proof what reputation will do.... The "Med" is a Hyde Park classic, and a staple for any student who's looking for a quick bite. That said, the food's not so fabulous and their barbeque sauce has this weird tang to it that annoys me to no end. I'm never amazed at what a mixed bag the Med is. It can be slow sometimes, and the numerous carvings into every wooden surface in the restaurant say more than I can about the "ambiance," but occasionally I'll stop scouring at the menu for something that looks remotely appetizing and find something good (the strawberry lemonade, a bit pricey, is a good complement to any meal). A good place for a bite with friends, but expect to pay more than you might expect for food that will satiate, but not wow in any way.

Rude Service!!. I came to this place with my parents from out of town and I was very disappointed. The waiter took forever to take our orders even tough the place had only a few customers. After our orders were taken a half hour goes by and we see every other people who was seated after us getting there food immediately. When we told the waiter that a half hour went by we didn't receive our food his reply was it has only been 25 minutes and walk away. My parents were so disguisted they just walked out. Medici you need to work on your staff!!!

Fantastic. Few places in the city can match the Medici's combination of food and atmosphere. This is a great date place - especially the romantic two-person booths on the lower level. You can't go wrong on the menu (there's probably too much to choose from), but their salads, burgers, and pizza are all good choices.
