I can't even rate this place. It is absolutely awful. I thought customer service should be the top priority so that people can come back. I don't think they have it on their list. Managers should set an example, I guess that does'nt exist in the manager's head either. Food was mediocre but I'd rather go to walmart and get sushi there and be happy. Waiter was extremely rude and full of excuses and start to argue with us. We ask for something and just simply ignored us. Wine was too pricey and no good. I had a sip and it tasted like colored red water. I asked the manager if they can possibly take it out of the bill, manager became furious and starts to argue with us. I don't have a problem paying for it...it is just I haven't heard of a waiter/manager arguing with a customer in front of many people and make a scene. This place is only concerned of the quantity of people that eat there,obviously the quality of service is not in their vocabulary. Consequently,no tip for the waiter. When he realized that, he got mad and I really thought he was coming out of the restaurant and follow us in the car together with the manager. Make sure you bring a stun gun to protect yourself in case you get mugged by the employees of this restaurant. In summary... go to walmart and enjoy there sushi.

Best Sushi Place in Chicagoland!

Sushi Station is the best and I don't like raw fish! They have a good selection of cooked sushi (crab, shrimp, eel, etc.) including my absolute favorite: The Cajon roll (baked salmon surrounded by a fried tempura "skin" and a spicy dipping sauce). The Rolling Meadows restaurant is small, but very experienced and well-managed. The new Elgin restaurant on Randall Road is huge, but needs more experienced waitstaff. But it's getting there! The same wonderful food coming at you via conveyor belt! If you can't find what you want on the conveyor belt, just order it from your waiter/waitress. They also have great Japanese tempura, udon and miso soups, and much more...albeit in smaller portions. Wonderful!

• Pros: Unique approach to dining; good variety of cooked sushi for those who hate raw fish!
• Cons: Waitstaff in Elgin could use more training.

Authentic Japanese sushi in Chicago area

Would highly recommend this sushi restaurant! This is as authentic Japanese as you can get in the USA. The variety of sushi is constantly being prepared by numerous chefs and placed on rotating conveyor. The conveyor travels to each table which allows patrons to select the sushi/sashimi they want.

My experience was the sushi was very fresh and I enjoyed the variety. I like seeing the prepared sushi before selecting, which also encourages trying new kinds I've never had before. I would consider the prices average for the Chicago area. I enjoy that the chefs exclaim "Thank You!" to every customer as they leave.

• Pros: EXCELLENT sushi, Unique Japanese restaurant atmosphere, Not your typical USA sushi bar.
• Cons: Limited seating, may have to wait.
