We hired Mara's Flooring to refinish our floor and to do some work on a wooden staircase. The project was a disaster. The men began by measuring the floor and intentionally mismeasuring by adding several feet in each direction. Yes, people make mistakes, but this was an attempt to overcharge us. The men then worked for two days and were incompetent. We are not sticklers for perfection, but this was a C or D grade job. The floor has nicks all over, the coatings are applied unevenly, and they made a mess far beyond what any other contractor has done before or since. The men were also arrogant (they treated my wife very rudely). In short, Mara's takes no pride in its work and is the classic dishonest contractor we all fear. Do not trust them with your home or money.

Cons: dishonest, and poor work quality
