This Andersonville video store's minimalist decor belies its varied offerings.. The Scene
Videos and DVDs are packed to the hilt on Specialty's white racks that reach to the ceiling. This is not a store that discriminates--Hollywood blockbusters get equal placement as art films do, and the rare film selection is nevertheless astonishingly deep. Chances are you'll find just about any foreign film you're looking for here, whether it be Euro-chic or Hong Kong-trashy. There's also plenty of gay and lesbian-themed films, TV shows like "Simpsons" and "Sex and the City," not to mention the porn movies in the rear. This is one of the few video stores in town that seems to carry about as many DVDs as videos.

Membership is free if you sign up with a credit card and have an ID with a Chicago address. New releases are due back by 8pm the following day; everything else is due back in two days.
