I have used Bernard Movers twice before and even have left great reviews online. My recent experience has left me sleeping on hardwood floor, no clothing, no pots, no pans, no winter coats, NOTHING , NOT ONE PIECE OF MY PROPERTY because this company moved my things on September 24 and are now holding my things hostage. They underestimated my original quote by $400. They refuse to release my things until I pay several weeks of storage at $50 per week (we are on week 9) and prepay for my move-in at an overblown estimate of $700 (which has never costs more than $400 from point A to point B). THEY CHARGED ME NEARLY $300 in materials. I'M BEING PUNISHED BECAUSE THEY DID NOT GIVE ME A 'CLOSE TO ACCURATE' ESTIMATE!

They are demanding nearly $2000 before anything happens. They refuse to acknowledge that they did not inform me I would be forced to shrink wrap EVERYTHING, tape things that didn't necessarily have to be taped, and box every large single item that may have been loose (like a directors chair)...THEY DID A POOR JOB AT TELLING ME WHAT THEIR STORAGE POLICIES ARE. EVERYTHING MUST BE TAPED, SHRINK WRAPPED, AND BOXED EVEN IF IT DOESN'T REALLY SEEM NECESSARY. Did I mention that it took add'l hours for all of my boxes, containers and items to be labeled and hand-written logged onto a sheet?

They refuse to talk to me unless I say I have all the monies they demand, they don't return my phone calls for questions. They refuse to allow me ANY access to my things to get MEDICAL SUPPLIES or WORK EQUIPMENT!!! I CAN'T GET MONEY IF I CAN'T WORK!

Bernard Movers has excellent reviews online but I warn EVERYONE to avoid this company. I am shocked, disappointed and dismayed that this company, that has moved me twice before, has left me in the cold....literally!!!

We used Bernard Movers for the third time this past weekend. While every time the service has been great, this time it was fantastic.  Lynn is always a pleasure to work with and remembered us from the last two moves. They sent us a three man crew, Rusty, Mario and Paul, and they were awesome.  They were professional, fast and really took care with our personal belongings.  I would recommend Bernard Movers to anyone, especially this three man crew.  Thank you Lynn, Rusty, Mario and Paul for making the stress of moving easier on our family!!!

Great Move. My family and I move into a new apartment on Saturday. The movers were Val, Juan and Matt. The estimated time was two hours, but, they moved us into the new place in one and a half hours.

The price was reasonable and Bernard Movers did an excellent job. I recommend them to anyone.

This moving company is amazing!!. I have used this moving company several times. I can not tell you how HAPPY I am with the service! I had used other companies in the past who were over priced & who actually did not show up!!! Bernard movers has been the best experience! They are ALWAYS on time, extreamly careful with my furniture, curtious & the pricing is extreamly reasonable! I have also called them last minute & they are always willing to accomadate the move. I have used them to move from my house in the suburbs to the city. I have also used them to move my office furniture to a new location. I have referred them to many clients & friends. My clients & friends have been very very happy with the service. You WILL NOT find a better moving comany in Chicago!!! I guarantee it!! Thank you Bernard movers for EVERYTHING!! You are the best!!

Awesome Movers. These guys are the best! Marvin and his crew were on time. They were polite. They worked fast and efficiently. They took great care of all our belongings. Marvin's estimate was right on the money. I recommend them without reservation!

Everything I wanted. I came from out of town with my apartment in a Uhaul. They unloaded carefully and politely listened to all my needs. They put everything where I wanted it and set it up. Whatever I wanted they did without hesitation. The movers understood the meaning of customer satisfaction. I also liked the fact that I talked to the owner, Lynn Bernard, in setting everything up. She has a personal stake in the job going right. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bernard Movers.

FANTASTIC MOVING EXPERIENCE. Krystian and Skip and the rest of the crew were on time, professional and did a great job. I moved out of an elevator building into a fourth floor walk-up and they were quick and even got my huge dining table around the turn. I will recommend Bernard Movers to my friends and family. Best movers I've ever had!

Excellent Movers. Marvin arrived ontime with 2 other coworkers. From the survery to the loading, transport, unload, and setup, was outstanding. These Men worked like no other movers I have used in my life. Highly recommend, No worries call Bernard Movers and the rest is easy. THANK YOU. A+

Fantastic Movers. The team of Marvin, Gus and Anthony made my move as easy as possible. They were prompt on arriving, courteous, and very professional. Very knowledgeble of their trade and suggested some very good ideas in packing and storing. I will highly recommend Bernard Movers and this moving team to my friends and will use them again in the future.

Appreciate the Excellent Service. I moved a few weeks ago and Krystian's crew (including Harold, Skip and Jose) were excellent. Like real troopers, they moved every box of my massive belongings quickly, carefully and cheerfully. That made my day a million times easier and during a move that is a true blessing. Thanks!
