A HORRIBLE PLACE TO EAT !!!!!!!!!!. This has been the most nasty and aggravating experience of my entire life, the food you can say is ok, but the way a so called guy named Louie treat the employees in front of the customers,makes you loose your appetite and leave that place after put him in his place.He is denigrating towards the employees, he miss treat them in any way possible not paying attention who is around. He even called them the "N" word and telling them to shut up more work than talking. I was with my kids and some friends that day, we didnt finish our food, we got up and left that place. I dont know who that guy was but the owners should do something about him, he is the most disgusting human being I have ever seen!! HE MAKES ME SICK!!!mean while I was ordering our food, I also notice the poor conditions in wich they keep their employees, he treats them as slaves just to hear how he talks to them in front of every one you whole mood changes. Not to mention that is not safe how it looks back there is so dirty and dangerous, the restrooms have no hand soap either. Honestly that place should be shut down! Is a disgrace for the conditions and the way they treat their employees!! JUST BY THAT I DONT RECOMMEND IT.the only nice individual there was the cashier, a tall guy in a hat with a ponny tail,very nice guy! This is a angry customer, i can even decribed how aggravated I feel as a customer,human being, as a mother because my kids were there and as a latina.I cant believe that a person tha is from our own race discriminates and humiliates their employees is such a way. THAT PLACE IS A COMPLETE DISGRACE FROM ANY VIEW!!!!!!!!! I WILL NEVER STEP IN TO THAT PLACE IN MY LIFE AND I HOPE THEY SHUT THEM DOWN. I AM SPREADING THE WORD TO EVERYONE I KNOW, HOW HORRIBLE THAT RESTAURANT IS. I WOULD ONLY COME BACK TO GIVE THAT GUY A PIECE OF MY MIND!!!! >;@

Disgusting Dump. The taco meat was raw, the tortilla chips were loaded with grease and the employees used the public washroom which had NO SOAP!!! This place should be shut down or inspected by the City of Chicago.

Best Burritos. The steak in their burrito is bursting with flavor. This is the place to go after drinking to soak up all the alcohol you drank. They are small compared to other places but the flavor makes up for it.

Awesome Taste. Their steak burritos are great and delicious and I recommend trying them. When I went away to school I would buy a couple to take down with me and soon had all of my roommates hooked. Now whenever they come up here to visit we always have to make a trip to the burrito place. They have become a little pricey for their burritos but are still awesome. I definitely recommend the steak burritos with cheese, onions, cilantro and verde sauce.

Palatable Burritos. About a year and a half ago, La Palapita moved to a roomier location. However, I can't say that it is any cleaner than the older place. Despite the dirty tables, they do make an above average tasting burrito. I would suggest the steak or chorizo as far as fillings go. Also, the homemade salsa chips are very good. Tortas are tasty but not necessarily filling. Therefore, order the plate with rice n' beans to go with it. My 15 year search for a standout burrito or taco in Chicago has been tough despite the abundance of Mexican restaurants. Palipita serves (relatively speaking) one of the better ones.

AWESOME STEAK BURRITO. THERE STEAK BURRITO AND TACOS ARE THE BEST ANYWHERE.. THE WAY THEY COOK THERE STEAK WHATEVER THEY MARINADE IT IN, THEY SHOULD BOTTLE IT AND SELL IT JUST FINISHED EATING ONE...
