“This is my favorite pizza joint on the northside, and not just for the pizza!”

It's hard to find but the Neapolitan-style pies are tasty and solid examples of the style.

Sometimes you walk into a "whole in the wall" and it's sh*t. Sometimes you walk into a "whole in the wall" and it becomes your new take out, sit down, or delivery. Such is Paninos.
Holy carp, has this place gone
downhill, just in the past month or so! All three of my last three orders have been wrong.
The first one was just barely on time against the hour estimate (technically two minutes late, but I'm not that person... unless you screw up again) and the driver forgot THE thing that made the artisan pizza an artisan pizza: the arugula. Then I had to sit there and wait 20 minutes for the arugula to show up, while the pizza sat in my oven, getting sadder and sadder.
I contacted Panino's and was given a credit on my account. So I tried it again. This time, while they delivered quickly, they brought Coke instead of Diet Coke (and the receipt said regular, so it wasn't the driver's fault). I was disappointed, but it could have been my fault, I suppose, for not asking them to read back my order. But, should I have to do that?!
So, because it may have been my fault, I tried them again. Tonight, my pizza arrived 12 minutes late against an hour promise. And, while this time the receipt said Diet Coke, the driver didn't have it, and it wasn't even in the car. I was so disappointed and angry that I sent the driver away with the order. I called Panino's to let them know, and I got apologies. I'm sure the owner or whomever will contact me again, but am I expected to subject myself to the "What's going to be wrong this time" game again?
I hope for the business's sake they get their act together. I LOVED the artisan pizzas, everything was yummy (except the mozzarella sticks, which are sad), and they always delivered in half the promise time or less (I'm a mile straight down NW Hwy).
But I can't deal with this repeated quality issue. If you don't care what you get, when you get it, then give them a whirl.
UPDATE: I just received an e-mail from someone at Panino's (don't know if it was the "Gino" who signed the prior note, because this was unsigned). I replied to the e-mail where they notified me of the credit for the first problem, so they might understand why I was so upset.
Not remotely handled professionally. Here's the e-mail (starting with what I wrote, so you can see exactly what he was responding to.

I placed my second order since this issue, and it was 12 minutes late (on an hour promise) and the driver didn't have the Diet Coke in my order. I sent her back with it and called the store to tell you I'd done so.
You have a serious quality control issue.

Food costs money and should not be used that way to prove a point.....Paninos " Best Pizza in Town!
Do what you want with this information. And remember that I'd ordered from them for a NUMBER of years.
A MOST disappointing experience.
To be clear, this was not my first time ordering from this store. My previous experiences were very, very good.
I ordered a salad and a pizza ... a thin crust deluxe. I made two requests in the comment site: delivery at 2 pm and No green peppers.
Much to my surprise, our doorman called - at 1 pm - announcing the delivery.
You can probably guess where this is going - The pizza had peppers.
Worse - the pizza wasn't even hot!!!! I mean nearly cold just not hot.
Today, I went to the store to find the manager, and was given the following: "He's busy".
FINE !!!
Hear this Mister Manager -- This review will be seen by plenty of people. My visit with you would have taken less than 10 minutes.
Breaded Steak on the NORTHSIDE!. This is my favorite pizza joint on the northside, and not just for the pizza! They have a great breaded steak sandwhich, which is rare up here. The ribs are amazing, and are on special on Sunday nights. The restaurant is super-cute, and there is a carry-out counter on the parking lot side with inexpensive lunch specials. I have never been disappointed with anything on the menu, it's all wonderful.
Not the way you want it.. Heaven forbid you ask for a buger, with no fries, no soup, no saled. It will be shoved down your throat anyway. And Charged for it. Sh*tty help. If you have another choice somewhere else take it. General Bad Service. Under cooked by slice.
Creative Italian takeout in a Lakeview strip-mall setting..
In Short
This unadorned takeout/delivery joint offers thin, pan or stuffed pizza, as well as some nontraditional options. Favorites include a starter of tender grilled octopus on dressed spinach, and the Timpano: a pasta "pie" of sorts with layers of pasta, cheese, sauce and either chicken, spinach or vegetables mixed together and topped with a pizza crust. Also available: an extensive array of pastas, sandwiches and salads.
