I have been a customer at Saffron since it first opened. Store owner, Padmaja, makes beautiful custom clothing and always carries styles and lines that are sophisticated yet fresh and fun to wear. My closet is peppered with dresses I've bought from Saffron over the years and I still love them all. It is always fun to "dig around" and find little treasures throughout the store; there are many items that make great gifts. If you have something specific in mind, the service is great and Padmaja can point you directly to what you need. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, making the entire shopping experience a joy.

Best boutique in Bucktown

This is my favorite shop in Bucktown. I've been a customer for 10 years and love it! Unique array of accessories, such as jewelry, scarves, gloves, and purses. Always has a great selection of earrings that make great gifts, as do the cookbooks, candles and lotions. The owner has a terrific sense of style that's reflected in the clothes - everything from casual G1 pants to beautifully feminine skirts and dresses. Great place to chat with the owner and other shoppers. Truly a wonderful little urban sanctuary in the city.
