Editorial Review for Lazo's Tacos – by Peter Behle
In Short
Lazo's competes with smaller Arturo's next door as the go-to Mexican family spot at this bustling corner. The restaurant has a quick-service counter with about 10 booths, plus a larger sit-down area with attached bar and party room. Young people and night owls love the counter-service room for unbelievably cheap, authentic, tasty tacos and burritos (carne asada, chorizo, pork, chicken and more); families come regularly for Mexican favorites (tostadas, fajitas, whole red snapper, burritos, tortas and flan).

Insider Tips
When to GoThe full bar in the back serves Mexican beers and tequila drinks and hops with live music on weekend nights. Otherwise, 24-hour Lazo's is a legendary post-bar stop. Early birds flock here for breakfast of huevos con chorizo (eggs with Mexican sausage) and more.

Lazo's is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Chicago. The serve really excelelnt Mexican food at a more than resonalbe price. I especcially enjoy the atmosphere on the weekend with the live band. Prepare yourself to get up an salsa the night away. A fun place to go for a date or with a group. I would highly reccommend having the Lazo's experience
Pros: Food, Price, Live Music
