Fore.
I really enjoy this course. Not the most challenging, but still a fun course where you will score and build confidence.
Price is fair, but watch out for slow flights.
GOOD EVERYTHING. I've had several experiences with the club. Each has been very good. I've been to a dinner party years ago. I've participated for the past 3yrs with the summer after work set and just recently was introduced to something new. A friend took me out to dinner for my birthday at the restaurant that's ran by the culinary school. I was verrrry impressed and plan to introduce others to the delight. The food was excellent as well as the service. Now I'd like to take on the golf course. You'll be hearing from me as soon as I get started. Keep up the good work. 3 course meal was great. I enjoyed the breads, dessert and the tilapia with spinach and mashed potatoes. Don't miss the excellent experience.
This early 20th century Italianate gem on the southern lakefront started as an exclusive country club..
The Background
Built for elite upper class, the elegant function rooms, beach and golf course can now be enjoyed by all. Some nice touches to watch for in the Marshall and Fox-designed center are the ceramic tile floors and plaster floral patterns adorning the ceilings. After the Chicago Park District purchased the run-down property in 1974, some of the original features, like the various shades of blue in the ornate lobby, were restored. The ballroom's high arched windows on three sides have gorgeous views of the beach and lake.
The Programs
For children, the center offers cultural activities such as dance, arts and crafts, music and theater. Adults can try their hand at Western dance, tap, yoga, ceramics, and in a joint venture with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, choir. Rotating art exhibits are showcased in the gallery of the first floor Rose Room and on the walls of the center lobby.
