“Jimmy's is the best place for a chicago style hot dog!”
“The owners are good people and a good family friends, just don't ask for catsup!”
“It has very good food for a low price.”
“While I would never abandon G&J's completely, it is a comfort to know that I can get the same great taste just 15 minutes away!”
I ALWAYS stop at Jimmy's for a Hot Dog if I'm in Chicago!. I ALWAYS stop at Jimmy's for a Hot Dog if I'm in Chicago! LOVE 'EM!!! Every time we play a show in Chicago, if Jimmy's is near my travel route, I'm there for a hot dog and fries. The dogs and fries are great, too! The hot dogs are a private recipe, so nobody has dogs like 'em. The fries are made a secret way, too, so they're delicious. Get 'em with everything on em. The food is fun and delicious, and the circus in and outside Jimmy's is Classic!
HELLO Jimmy's!!!. It's been 20 LONG years since we moved away from the BEST hot dogs in the World. Can still taste them!! Also the Polish, and don't forget the famous fries!! Used to have them at least twice a week. After a few cocktails at "Hook's Hut"!! {Anyone remember that place!!???] Here's to Chicago's finest who wear the 4 blue stars on their shoulders....SEND SOME down to the Lone Star State......Do you deliver???? lol

I will travel anywhere for jimmy's. Jimmy'z red hots are so good I grew up eating there. And now my son will to. My grandmother will alwayz have a hot dog and fries when she comes from puerto rico, she loves it.
The King of Hot Dogs!. Jimmy's is the best. Nothin' fancy, but you aint going there for the details, you're going for the dog. Get used to the fast pace: Get in, order quick, and get out. Once you have that steaming hot bag of dogs and fries in your hands, you can't wait to get to your car and taste a little heaven. I grew up and lived in the neighborhood for 40 years. I still go there every time I'm back in Chi-town. A true Chicago landmark.
You got to try these!!!!!. I have been eating there for 40 years, my grandmother used to take me there on the bus just for the fries. The owners are good people and a good family friends, just don't ask for catsup!!!!!! If you've never been there you don't know what your missing.
State of the art hot dog. The Chicago classic hot dog is the standard for the world. Jimmy's is the creator of the best. Of course, he bans ketshup. Ketshup on a Chicago Dog is like salsa on ice cream. If you insist, the guys at Jimmy's will begrugingly give you packets of the red stuff...and tell you to refrain from putting it on the dog until you leave the premises. I have been a Jimmy dog guy since the opened some 50 years ago. If yoiu come to Chicago and skip Jimmy's, you have missed a lot. But, don' expect some fancy tourist place. This is the legit thing -- no Disney re-creation. As far as the neighborhood, it is fine. Maybe small town or small minded folks have never seen big city blue-collar neighborhood. Mostly a bunch of friendly Hispanic folks. It s great. So fear not.
Best Red Hot Anywhere!. Someone below wrote 47 years at Jimmy's. I may have that beat. I can't remember what year Jimmy's in the '50's was built but I was there when it was and before that. I lived a block and half south on Pulaski as 1231. The dogs have always been great, the fries super greasy and just as great. That's where we went for a dog. There's nothing anyway ever that can beat a Jimmy's dog. The neighborhood and that corner are really scary these days. The dogs still taste the same, the fries still greasy, the service .. well Jimmy isn't there anymore. Everything but the pepper!
