Fast-food burger chain inspires cult-like devotion for its steam-grilled, all-beef Slyders.. In Short
A late-night crowd orders miniature burgers by the sackful at this castle-shaped Midwestern chain restaurant. The menu is short and sweet: hamburgers, cheeseburgers and double cheeseburgers, with all-beef patties steam-grilled on a pile of onions and served on square white buns with pickles. Extras like bacon and jalapeno cheese are also available, as well as non-burger options like fried chicken or fish sandwiches and sides of fries, onion rings and cheese sticks.

Different Mustard. As compared to the White Castle around Detroit you may be a bit suprised when you bite into one of the little biskit covered meatloafs that they use dijon mustard instead of yellow mustard.

convenience at its best. Drive up anytime, day or night, order a dozen and some fries, breeze through the drive-through in record time, and be home to munch to your hearts content. I just wish they would ditch the crinkle fries and go back to the ones they used to have many years ago.

Sliders at 3am.... Every market has their favorite restaurant for the after-party, stumbling-home crowd. In the south it's Waffle House, but in Chicagoland, White Castle wins the "load me up with cheap, greasy food" category hands down. An added benefit to eating 10 hamburgers at a sitting is that all that bread tends to soak up the alcohol sloshing around in your stomach, making the impending hangover a little less painful.

Are you outta you're mind.. There's one in every city. The only reason to go here is when you're don drinking and your too broke for real food.

Always good!. White Castle is always the same great "little" burger. Why some people feel the need to add cheese, or doubles, or other mods, I don't know. Don't mess with perfection.

White Castle. Unique cholestrol builder. Very good taste. Taste last longer than most burger places. Many times you can still taste these hours after your meal was completed. This is not a bad thing. Best tasting sliders come from older restaurants--like the one at 95th & Cicero in Oak Lawn. The older grills help further embed the slider taste into patties.

Fries should not be overlooked here. These crinkle cut babies are pretty darn good.
