Can vanilla be any better?. Gerties is an old time icecream palor at a newer location. While this location lacks some of the charm of the old neighborhood establishment the icecream is still supreme. Try the Vanilla on any sundae,. It has a prefect balance of flavor, sweetness, saltiness and texture that I have not found elsewhere. If you are serious about icecream, please do not overlook this Chicago treasure.
