Astounding!

I went to school in Chicago for a year, but even when I returned to Chicago to visit friends, this was on my "must" list to pick up gifts from my trip.

Real quality items, great prices, and there is an entire floor for each gender (men's basement, women's upper floor). There was even a whole selection of "Save Ferris Bueller" shirts in the men's basement.

Not too mention that this store is in a good neighborhood to grab some eats and to do more shopping, that is if you didn't already drop a lot of money and come out with more than you could carry here. Rad stuff.

It still remains on my top five list of "thrift" locations throughout the country. KUDOS!

• Pros: Love everything about it!
• Cons: Not a lot of parking in the area, but literally a jump from the Belmont stop on the Red Line

Fun place to wander!

My friend and I went into Ragstock the other day and had an absolute blast. She found two great shirts, and I found a dress as well as some vintage toys and fun party favors. You could spend quite a while in this story and still miss good stuff. Lots of fun- my only complaint is that they should have at least one more person working- we waited a while for service. Other than that, definitely going back!

• Cons: Needs more customer service people

great costume shop

not only is this place a fun spot to find super cheap vintage stuff, it's a great source for costume party clothing--wigs, bellbottoms, tight pants, schoolgirl uniforms, et al. but be warned--the week or two before halloween is CRAZY. found some great plether pants here, but they fell apart after about a dozen wearings. oh well--what do you expect for $15?

• Cons: poor quality
