bargin and quality. This is the most amazing shoe "kingdom" I've ever been to. The "D" stands for discount - very big discount. This is THE place to find quality, name-brand shoes for a bargin price. True, it's crowded and there's no personal service, but if you love shoes and have a love for bustling chaos, this is the place.

worth a look. as a guy, the selection just can't compare to the women's, but there are still some good deals to be had here--especially for winter-time boots and such, there are great brands like timberland to choose from, and prices are great. for more stylish options, you may not find much more than doc marten's. nothing truly, truly cool, but still worth a look for the prices alone. salespeople really couldn't care less, which can be a welcome thing if you're tired of being pestered.

Smart shopping. It's amazing people still go to stores and pay full price for shoes without checking here first. I recently bought four pairs for what I could have spent on just one of them elsewhere. I'm not wild about how crowded and chaotic DSW always is, but the prices make it worth it, and the staff really tries to keep displays straight and lines at the registers moving (some times more successfully than others). I also had trouble finding my size in a few styles, but the "what we have is on display" layout allowed me to know that immediately. Serious shopaholics would do well to make regular trips to DSW as the inventory changes all the time, though novices may not have the patience for the constant flow of fellow customers.
