Great patio and great food

Went there this morning for brunch. It was so great I had write a review the same day!

Three of us were trying to find a breakfast place on Clark in Lakeview. We couldn't find anything and made it to Jacks on Halsted.

They weren't quite open yet but welcomed us and we sat on the patio. We were the only ones there but the servers (one in training) were really friendly.

The patio is cute with tall bamboo looking stalks enclosing it. The food was delicious- I had eggs with bacon. Delicious and the fruit they put pineapple, honeydew, cantaloupe and orange on the side. Where else can you get that much fruit on your plate??

$3 mimosas is a great deal and the music was great with Diana Ross and some other greats. It was the perfect music for the mood.

The inside area was also cute with white tablecloths. Will be coming back for a dinner or Sunday brunch when they have a live DJ.

Cowabunga Good!

We ate at Jacks before a Blueman Group performance and were so pleased with our experience. The service was quick, friendly and attentive. We ordered the steak and fries (fries were to die for!), salmon and the "pork tasting." All were prepared and presented wonderfully and in perfect portions. The pork and salmon were served with chutneys that were just out of this world! For desert we had the bananas foster and the ice cream pie. My son wouldn't give up any of the bananas foster so I presume it was good and the ice cream pie was just amazing. I would certainly return to Jacks on our next visit to Chicago.

Love the Steaks

My husband and I love this place, it is our favorite place to come for a special occasion or a fun date night. The food is wonderful, I love the filet and he always gets the rib eye. Everything is always cooked to perfection and the wait staff is very friendly. We usually make reservations on Friday or Saturday night just to ensure we do not have to wait for a long time. If you do have to wait though they have a nice cozy bar area and the bartenders are always very friendly and make a mean cocktail. They have a great variety of Martinis and wine choices.

warm, welcoming, and fun

My girlfriend and I found myself looking for a nice place to go before seeing the blue man group. We were very impressed with the service food and atmosphere Jack's gave. It is tough to go out due to my girlfriends food allergies but they were so accommodating and caring it was amazing. We liked it s much we came back for a glass of wine and amazing ice cream after the show. I would recommend anyone to just try it. We were from out of town and were having a hard time finding a friendly face in the cold city of Chicago but we felt at home that night. This place allowed us to finally relax from a stressful trip. Thank you again all who served us were amazing. The bar tender even called a friend to help us find our way to our friends house afterward. Can't say enough. Food, service, and atmosphere A++++++++ or **********. Thanks for saving our trip and giving us a warm feeling in such a cold town.

Excellent Fine Dining in Boystown

When I go to a fine-dining restaurant, I expect my dishes to reflect the chef?s attention to detail. Jack?s delivers. Appetizers, Salads, entrees, and desserts are all meticulously put together and delicious. Dishes are creative and contain the subtle little touches I expect in this price range. My experiences with the service have ranged from acceptable to fantastic. Great ambiance ? perfect for a romantic dinner.
