Editorial Review for The Art of Pizza – by J.P. Anderson

In Short
Tucked into a strip mall, this spot has only a few tables and stools packed together. There's plenty of traffic, though, as drivers buzz in and out for deliveries, and locals duck in for a slice. The Chicago-style pies are renowned, but the thin-crust pies are tasty too. Carnivores can't help but go for Art's Meaty Delight, piled with sausage, bacon, ground beef, pepperoni and sliced beef. Other options include deep-fried cheese sticks, ribs, pasta and sandwiches.

Their pizza is the best... it is always good. Lots of cheese with great crust. Just be ready for a fusterating, unfriendly experience when talking with the staff. They aren't too sharp. Calling in to place an order is like speaking with a talking monkey. Simple questions seem too complex and make a quick call way too long. Maybe some there will read this review and take steps to improve this much needed area of their business. Go for the pizza, but consider yourself warned!

Everyone who said the service is terrible is mistaken. The phone service is pretty much "no frills" but get over it. This is obviously not a place you go for an intimate dining experience. Most people go for... oh, I dunno... the pizza? Stuffed is where it's at. The pan is good too, and the thin is good if you like that sort of thing. Thin crust is pretty similar to most, but still good. Specials are the deal of the century. Seriously, though... all those people giving bad reviews must work at Giordano's, Gino's, etc.

Pros: Deep Dish Pizza

Cons: None, as long as you know what to expect.
