“had to wait 10 minutes for my first slice because they had sold out of stuffed cheese & sausage and were awaiting a fresh pie from the kitchen - a sure sign of a great product.”
“The best thick crust or stuffed pizza in Chicago - bar none.”

“Then I got the manager and his attitude "It sais no substitutions right on the bottom of the menu" I just said I will order elsewere and he hung up on me without a word.”
“Everyone who said the service is terrible is mistaken.”
“We can always get in right away, and get incredibly good pizza at amazingly reasonable prices!”
“Great place for a quick lunch”
This owner must not need the business!. Great Pizza, but the guy on the phone was purposefully being rude. I know this wont make a difference in how they treat customers in the future, because other reviews have said the same thing and we still got bad service. So I guess even though the pizza is good we wont eat here anymore. There are many great places in Chicago that have both good pizza, and good service, so why order from a place that treats people in such a rude fashion. The owner must be sooooo rich to allow his employees to treat customers this way!
Done with the Art. Great pizza but horrible customer service. I have been ordering for years and am prepared for my 75 minute wait time which have actually been over 2 hours. However, the last time I ordered they served two pizzas that had been flipped over. When I called they said they would only send us a replacement for one of the pizzas because I had salvaged a few corner pieces to give to my 2year old son from one of them. The manager, who never apologized, then accused me of trying to get 4 free pizzas. By the way, the replacement pizza never came and when I called back the manager said I'd hung up on him and he didn't have time to talk to me. I am done with the Art.
Great place for good bread!.
all! Best place to eat pizza in town. A must.

Great place for a quick lunch.
This is a great neighborhood joint to get a quick slice and a pop for lunch. I particularly love the sausage deep dish. The only beef with this Lakeview eatery is the single cashier and the long lines through the day.
For less than $4, you get a slice of pizza and a medium fountain drink - a good deal in tough times.
HORRIBLE SERVICE. I had a bad exprience 6 months ago tried them again even worse. I will never order again. They use to be good however they have changed. After the order taker told me he believe the cook over my word about the forgotten items I knew time to stop ordering. Awful pizza and customer service.
Awesome Pizza. I order delivery from here at least once a month. Art's special is my favorite. Delicious, and the delivery is always on time!
Great pizza, poor service..
Their pizza is the best... it is always good. Lots of cheese with great crust. Just be ready for a fusterating, unfriendly experience when talking with the staff. They aren't too sharp. Calling in to place an order is like speaking with a talking monkey. Simple questions seem too complex and make a quick call way too long. Maybe some there will read this review and take steps to improve this much needed area of their business.
Go for the pizza, but consider yourself warned!
Haters sippin' haterade.
Everyone who said the service is terrible is mistaken. The phone service is pretty much "no frills" but get over it. This is obviously not a place you go for an intimate dining experience.
Most people go for... oh, I dunno... the pizza?
Stuffed is where it's at. The pan is good too, and the thin is good if you like that sort of thing. Thin crust is pretty similar to most, but still good.
Specials are the deal of the century.
Seriously, though... all those people giving bad reviews must work at Giordano's, Gino's, etc.
Amazing. After it was ranked the best Chicago style pizza by the Tribune my roommates and I decided to give it a try. Ever since one out of the four of us has ordered it at least once a week. Though the delivery time is a bit long (usually an hour) its worth the wait.
Best pizza. I highly recommend Art of Pizza. I take all my friends there when they come to visit and my family on a regular basis. I love that they have choices is pizza (deep, stuffed, and thin) there is something for everyone. Besides having delicious pizza it is also quick and economic place where you can wear jeans and gym shoes.
