The Scene
The space is cozy, with a wall of exposed brick on one side and an elegant bar on the other. Most of the cocktail tables are scattered up front near glass French doors, which offer a wonderfully breezy place to sit during the summer. There are a few prime seats around the piano, and depending on the performer, you could become part of the show. This is a great place to bring Mom, assuming of course, you've already come out. Never a cover, always courteous and attentive table service.
The Draw
The younger of the two Gentry locations, Gentry on Halsted Street has more of a neighborhood bar feel. Like the location on State Street, this one also features an intimate cabaret that is open 365 days a year.
