Favorite Bar in the City. Berlin is one of those cool, retro, fusion type dance clubs in Chicago that are hard find. The bar itself has not changed much since we used to go there 15 years ago. It's still under the L track, and has a very fun, diverse crowd. Its a lot different from other Chicago night clubs because there isn't that clubbish attitude at some of the other downtown bars. The boys, the girls, gay, straight, bi, lesbian, it doesn't matter at Berlin because everyone is welcomed.

I always love it here. I love going to boys town and this is my fav. place to go. I can always have a good time here even if its not the weekend and not too crowded. I enjoy that the DJ is not cocky like at some places, (you know the types) when I ask for a song its not a big deal and I'm sure to hear it before I leave.

The bartenders are friendly and good at suggesting drinks that are on special and there are always plenty to try. I have never had a problem with parking or bouncers or anything. The only down side is that there is sometimes a cover charge and I'm not to sure when that is. Its been kind of luck of the draw for me at the door, not sure if they just decide who they're charging.

I LOVE the crowd. Gay or straight, male or female I like that its always a mixed very diverse crowd. When I come here I know I'm going to have a good time, maybe get a little naughty and dance my worries away.

THANK YOU BERLIN FOR BEING ABOVE THE REST

A welcoming place!!. I visited Chicago for the first time as an adult with my sisters over Memorial Day weekend and THE most enjoyable experience was Prince Night!! Okay, I love Prince and I would have enjoyed this idea almost anywhere but this club was awesome. The DJ wasn't the greatest at mixing, but he had a pretty good idea how to keep the crowd happy. One bartender blatantly ignored me but the other made it up for that because he was fantastic, professional AND he made great drinks! It's not a huge place, but people were dancing, enjoying themselves and leaving the judgmental attitudes at the door. I'd love to go there again!!

freaks and geeks. The most open-minded place in Chicago -- gay and straight mingle here, drink a huge amount, smoke, dance (sometimes better, sometimes worse), and, yes, engage in (mostly consensual) touching. If you are a wilting lilly, you will not like it here; nor are white-hatted fratboys welcome (unless gay.) Men who attend are either cut and friendly gay men, or freaks like me who enjoy the anything-goes atmosphere and the complete absence of attitude. In many ways a bit like Mos Eisley's Cantina, the rumor is the Bjork considers it a place to stop by when she passes through the city.
