Practically anything goes at this flamboyant Lakeview dance club.. The Scene
Long known as one of the city's premier gay bars, this hetero-friendly spot still pulls out all the stops, thanks to grinding beats and no-holds-barred dancing. Whether cutely coiffed, shirtless or dressed in all-out drag, guys here (and their female entourages) know how to get down and dirty, making the vivid '60s-meets-'70s decor--wood-paneled walls with bold polka-dot cutouts--a mere backdrop; dark exterior windows keep inside antics under wraps.

The Draw
This is raciness at its best, particularly past midnight. Berlin is full of gay, gay-curious and gay-loving individuals chugging Jager shots, froufrou drinks and standard mixed potions. Rotating DJs regularly spin danceables from Fischerspooner, the Streets and Ladytron, but the vibe can vary greatly from night to night. For a dance club, drinks are surprisingly cheap and hefty.

Be Yourself, Have Fun Here. Friendly staff, 3 bars to slake your thirst, small dance floor with clever low level fog machine 2 raised areas for showing off. DJs spin a great variety of fun music more hard house on Sat. vs Friday. Everyone seems welcomed here and plays well together, whether youre quiet, outrageous or of any orientation. Clientele is incredibly diverse in all ways. Wonderful place to cut up or chill - great dancers make a fun view. More wild costumes on Sat. Great place to meet people regardless of your particular persuasion. If you need to be over the top or just have fun, this is definitely the place. Open late, coat check closes at 4:30 AM.

Trashy, but cool. I went there twice (Thurs, Friday) and I like it. There is good music and a dancefloor. Crowd is cute, but very very mixed of all types. Drinks are good. Space is small and a dump, but the crowd makes it cool.

I would go back.

Best music in the city. Dj's spin the best music in the city. Crowd is diverse, outgoing and social. best nights, wednesday, friday and saturday after midnight.

what happened to thursdays?. ok - i'll admit i haven't been recently, but thursdays used to be goin' on...was in two weeks ago and the music was way boring and energy was flat. what's the deal? maybe an off night?

Dance, Dance, Dance.... Did I mention Dance? This club is the best when it comes to two things: people watching and dancing non-stop. The crowd is pretty mixed - boy's boys, girl's girls, boy's girls and girl's boys - you get the picture. Music's good, drinks are cheap and people watching is awesome.

Good Times. I've been to Chicago only a handful of times, but this place has generated more good memories than I can count. The music, the crowd, the energy--as entertaining as any club I've been to on either coast. Even if you show up alone, you won't be lonely for long.

So Bad it's Good. I think the music is awful and the crowd lame -- at first -- but I have so many good memories that I never miss going when I'm in town. Somehow it's always so much fun, I shed my snobbish ways and fall under the spell of this place. And the bartenders are always verrrrry accommodating!
