New Staff, New Menu, New Beers, Excellent!. The new staff, menu, and there huge assortment of domestic and international beers were all awesome. You need to try the wheat beer they have, I don't remember the name of it, but it was different! Would highly recommend!

why bother. Never going back. After subpar food and a waitress that was more interested in chatting with the bartender we briefly complained about our "seared tuna" being seriously overcooked. The waitress who apologized but made no amends or attempt to correct the mistake eventually got us our check. After I payed I went to use the restroom before I left and as I came out I heard that same little waitress refer to me and my wife as whiny cheap blankety blanks ( citysearch won't allow the printing of what she actually called us. We're done with this place that we used to give chance after chance despite never really finding anything we liked. I'll take my cheap self somewhere where they don't charge you extra to get enough dressing to cover your salad.

Worst specials ever. Our intention was to get a few beers and bite to eat on a Friday night. Witt's was close and I had heard good things so we went. We were sold on the exceptional sounding specials and so we got the chicken potpie and macaroni and cheese. They were the single most disappointing plates I have ever seen and they were ridiculously expensive. Both the mac and cheese (which I could have made at home with macaroni and some milk) and the potpie (that had 3 peas and 4 pieces of chicken in it, literally) were $9 and it was like a cup and a half of food. 60 dollars, 3 beers and 3 jokes of an entree later, I will never return. It's a shame because I literally live down the block and I like the beer selection there but I would rather go down the block to the Golden Apple (which is seriously bad!) instead of throwing away tons of money at Witt's on disappointing food. They should have been 1/2 the price there were for the portions. I realize this is a bar but the extensive menu enticed us to try more than just a burger and fries. Perhaps the bar food is better, I wish someone would have warned us.

Great Drinks, Great Good, Great People!. This is a fun neighborhood bar/restaurant right on the border of Lakeview and Lincoln Park. They have great food, nightly drink specials including a hosted bar from 9-10 on Fridays, trivia on Wednesdays, and other fun activities.

It's a great place to meet and network with other thirty-somethings from LP/LV and Andy, Paul, and the rest of the staff will make you feel like a regular even if its your first time there.

Since Don and Christy took over about six months ago they have added many improvements--seven flatscreens inside so you can catch all your favorite games, and a covered and heated outdoor patio with two big screens and weekly bags (cornhole/bagg-o) tournements (also a great place to have your next party with its own bar).

The best combination of neighborhood bar, good food, familiar service and a friendly crowd in the area!

Great food and Customer service. The menu for food and drinks is extensive!! The seasonal menu offers a wide varity and change.The prices are also very reasonable. I always receive amazing customer service. They have a beer garden that is secluded and wonderful early and late into the year. If you are looking for a great place to hang out and socialize this is the place for you!!!

Worth checking out. This is a favorite hangout of some friends of mine, and with good reason -- Witt's has a very comfortable, neighborhood feel (normal but interesting people) and is nicely maintained. Besides good cocktails and a fair selection of beers (draft and bottle), this spot also has a pretty good food menu. There's a TV or two (though they are usually muted, so music can be heard), patio seating in the back and specials of different kinds on particular nights. Witt's is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a comfortable place to have a drink or grab a bite.
