Editorial Review for The Wild Hare – by Citysearch Editors
The Scene
The set-up emphasizes the music: The club doubled in size in 1991 and sunk over $100,000 into its sound system. The bass is kept at a righteous level, and walls are painted black to showcase posters of reggae legends. The second floor is reserved for private parties.
The Draw
The Wild Hare hosts reggae heavy-hitters, from locals to international acts such as Shabba Ranks. There are often two performances per night on weekends, one at 9:30pm, the other at midnight. Cover can be as high as $20 for big-name performers such as Yellow Man. DJs spin between sets or when no band is booked. The bar serves Jamaica's favorite beer, Red Stripe, as well as Caribbean-style mixed drinks. No food's offered here, but good Ethiopian and Jamaican restaurants surprisingly share the neighborhood with sports bars.

It's been a long time since i went to Wild Hare. I recently went on a date and we decided to check it out and see how the club has been. last time i was there was like 4-5 yrs! and now that i revisited again, i'm glad i did! me and my date had a great time! they redecorated the place and it looks awesome! Wild Hare never disappointed me. for sure you will have fun no matter what. the people are nice and socialable.to single people you will meet someone and you will dance with someone! no matter if you are shy! music is awesome! live music is incredible! drinks and price are decent.best to go on fri and sat,but take anything besides your car cuz there is no parking whatsoever! even if you do or don't like reggae or dancing, this place is the one to go cuz it will make you like the music and for dancing you can swing at the beat and stil look good!
Pros: good atmosphere! socialable people! great music!
Cons: parking

I have been to this club several times. You are always guaranteed a great time. Does get crowed late at night on Friday and Saturday. Sunday night is my favorite night. There is no parking so take a cab..
