Too noisy to sleep. Don't stay here if you want to get any sleep! My parents booked a weekend stay here because their usual favorite hotel in the neighborhood was full, and they didn't even make it through the first night. Even though they asked for the quietest room, they could hear the EL thunder by every few minutes, all night long. It was so unbearable that they called me in the middle of the night and told me to set up the futon. They checked out first thing in the morning and never looked back. The convenient location doesn't make up for the sleepless night. Stay away or bring your industrial strength earplugs.

Don't stay anywhere else!. This place is in the heart of all the action and an upbeat neighborhood with the most friendly and welcoming concierges. Ask Michelle anything and she will know, and if she doesn't she will get on her computer and find out, with a quickness! They even print boarding passes. We really love the friendliness of the staff. Very helpful. The rooms are comfortable and very clean! Breakfast is nice. Rates go a little higher during weekends but it's definately worth it. A bit noisy on West side because of EL. In the heart of Boystown/Wrigleyville!

Recommended!. I recently stayed at the City Suites during the Holiday season. The rooms were very comfy and the location is hot. The staff was very sweet and accomodating. Michelle and Russ know their neighborhood and had wonderful recommendations for resturants and clubs, they made us feel very welcome and at home during our stay in Chicago.

Friendly service will make you feel right at home.. The Scene
This is a friendly place operated by a staff with a wonderful sense of humor. It is located just six blocks from Lake Michigan in the midst of tree-lined streets filled with dozens of restaurants and bars. Downtown Chicago is just three miles to the south.

The Details
The 45 double rooms and office suites are decorated in an upscale Art Deco style. The color schemes are warm, and the amenities include thoughtful-honor baskets, robes and a morning paper. If you're looking for old-fashioned service, you'll appreciate the bellman, concierge turndown and limo service. Fresh cookies and fruit are served during the evening, and a traditional continental breakfast includes croissants, doughnuts and more. A small boutique is located on the premises.

Off the beaten path. Great hotel. Right in the neighborhood and close to the El. Don't miss cinnamon rolls at Ann Sather next door.

Great Service and Location. Excellant service and very freindly staff. The front desk staff always said "hello" Location was great. Close to the L and the gay neighborhood. It was easy to get other parts of the city using public transportation. I would never stay anywhere else. I would also recommend upgrading to a Suite.

Striking Sophistication. On a recent trip to Chicago (May 8 & 9) I had the pleasure of staying at The City Suites Hotel. They have very attractive, comfortable suites with a striking art deco design. The service was fast, effecient and especially friendly. The staff made me feel right at home. The continental breakfast was generous and varied from day to day. They had a little something for everyone. I will definitely be back.
