Monastero's.
We were quite disappointed with our experience at Monastero's The service was very slow, the food was below par and not worth the prices charged.
Many places much better to choose to dine when craving Italian.
If this place does not get back to basics, they should quit the restaurant business and stick with only catering.
BEST SELECTION OF ITALIAN FOOD WITH FLAVOR. The best italian food I have had in forever. Can't go wrong with a restaurant that has been around since the 60's. They know how to cook and how to make you enjoy every bite. We went on Friday and the music was so beautiful. Friday,Saturday and Sunday they have music in the dining room. My kids loved the pizza. Try it out! You will not be disappointed. The Wine list is filled with Sicilian wines, and don't forget to ask Paul at the bar for a martini.
Nice, family atmosphere but food very average. Some nice touches such as a piano player but the place feels old and past its prime. This is a place that your grandparents would probably love. All the old Italian standbys. Nothing special about the food. Probably won't go back.
Manicotti to die for. I've been going here for 10 years and it never fails to meet my expectations. The food is wonderful, the Monastero family are friendly and Joe Jr. couldn't be more helpful. A wonderful place for an event, a few friends having a bite to eat or a romantic rendez vous. A varied delicious menu. Mange Mange Mange.
Best I've had.
Finally, a real Italian restaurant. It's been here forever. Food is always the best Italian in the city. And extremely reasonably priced.
Their wine list was surprisingly affordable. The house Chianti is very good for around $15. Couldn't believe it.
Great place to go with friends or family, and there are plenty of romantic tables for a great date.
The Monastero Family runs this place. It's not corporate by any means. You'll feel like family here.
