Editorial Review for Edelweiss – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
With more than a dozen German beers on draft and an oompah-pah band, the mood is light and festive at this Old World restaurant. Starters include sirloin beef tartare with paprika and mustard followed by heart entrees like baked pork shank with bock beer sauce, roasted ducks and housemade sausages. After all that food, customers still have room for desserts such as the popular apple strudel and chocolate cake.

Coming from a German-American family I can honestly say (and Oma would kill me for saying this), but this is the best German food I have ever had! I have been to the Berghoff several times, and it is good. But Edelweiss makes it look like a museum. Edelweiss is alive and bubbling with good food, and good people, and better atmosphere. If you ever get a chance, then try the Oktoberfest (held in September) feast! You will not regret it. Beifall!

Pros: Food, Good variety of beers, Atmosphere

Cons: Music can be too much, Parking
