Having moved to the St. Ben's neighborhood, I came across the Latin Sandwich Cafe'. I looked them up online, and after seeing the dishes they served, I decided to try them out and was not
disappointed. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere to it, serving Carribean and Chilean dishes. It's a small family-run place, so don't expect anything fancy. Do expect to be treated politely.
My company and I ordered the churrasco completo which is steak, mayo, tomato, lettuce and pickles served on a bun, the jibarito sandwich which is steak, tomato, lettuce, sauteed onion on fried green banana in place of bread, and the seafood empanadas fritas. Everything we ordered was most satisfying and agreeable to the tongue, as well as the wallet. Including tea for two and taxes, the overall bill was only $22. Compared to some places I've been, that is very reasonable. The menu does not have many selections, but what they do offer is very much worth coming back for.…
