Good Salon. I have been going here since 2005, and I would not go to any other salon for my hair!

Art and So Not Worth It. So I too had to wait quite a while before getting my hair cut, although I was on time for my appointment. Better leave a lot of time in your schedule for this place. I saw the director, but honestly, my haircut was terrible. The salon let me come back in, but I didn't trust them to make it any better, so I just had to grow it out and go somewhere else!

Just Another Salon. I give this salon a 7, its a little above average. I was kept waiting 45 minutes for a haircut and I was booked at 9:00 a.m. I don't know if the stylist knew it or not, he never offered any words of why he was late. I then tried one of the colorist, and she kept me waiting for 40 minutes, so I left, had a drink, and they called me on my cell. She rushed through the color to get to the next appointment. I do like my cut, even though I showed him a picture, from their website, and I did not get that particular cut. I do like my color, but I was assured they would not use bleach for my highlights, and they did use bleach after all. So all in all, I might would go back, but I would try another stylist and another colorist, just to see if they are late or on time.

Worst Blonde Moment Ever. Bad. Bad. Bad. The people who are running this location are simply idiots who are more concerned about image than they are about service. After having numerous scheduling problems due to the lack of cerebral capacity that answers the phone, I complained to the manager when she scheduled me with a stylist who was out of my price range. Perhaps to a cute 17-year-old Ohio-bred wanna be punked-out Chicago hipster, Junior stylist means Id like to pay as much as possible to have my short hair trimmed. Perhaps I should have consulted a Wicker Park dictionary before scheduling.

Anyway, my hair was also colored there, and it looked simply amazing. I asked if the color would wash out. No, no. A week later my $165 dye job was gone.

I will never go back.

awsome salon. This is one of the hippest salons I have ever been too the staff is good looking and trendy and pass their looks onto their clients. They also have the skills to create classic looks as well. I will definately reccomend Art and Science to all my friends

a great addition to the neighbourhood. as a graduate of kellogg i was already a big fan of their evanston salon and this location is fantastic. great staff , paul, pat, dina etc. are all so friendly and my new colorist sophia is perfect. this organization is REALLY fussy about staff training and it really shows. very popular with out of town celebs ( i saw maroon 7(yum,yum) last time i was there and ryan adams once too(drool) ) , its the best salon in chicago. they should hire me to do p.r.!

great salon. this place rocks ! no attitude , great cuts and fantastic color. i've tried three of the stylists and two of the colorists ( i'm not good about calling weeks ahead for an appointment ) and they have all done great work and were cool to spend time with. highly recommended !!!!!!!

Love it.. Never have any complaints really. Yes, sometimes I am kept waiting, but it is always well worth the wait. If they are making you wait it is usually b/c of the attention to detail with each and every haircut they give. I have never had a stylist understand my personal needs as much as Melissa does. If you want a good stylist, book her!
