Editorial Review for Tini Martini – by John Dugan
The Scene
An orange glow emanating from the bar creates a welcoming warmth in the long, narrow room, while earth-toned seating, shimmering candles, mirrors hung on brick walls and black curtains lend the space clubby elegance. Up front, the elevated VIP area often doubles as a DJ platform. The basement space is stripped raw, but offers lots of dancing room and a second DJ. During the week, young professionals pop in for cocktails; weekends, the boogying throng swells with an ethnically diverse crowd.
The Draw
Slightly off the beaten path, Tini Martini works nicely as meeting place after a Congress Theatre show. The club hosts local and big-name DJs; rhythms can range wildly, but house and hip-hop predominate. The expansive specialty drink menu includes flavored rum concoctions, vodka and gin martinis (traditional and contemporary), and dessert-inspired indulgences like the Baskin Robbin: Absolut Vanilla, Godiva Dark and White Chocolate liquers, and DeKuyper Peppermint.

All I could say is"GHETTO"!!!!!!!!! The dj kept on playing the same music over and over, the people are rude and scrubby and gym shoes should not be allowed in any club whatsoever! I will never ever go back!
Pros: None!
Cons: Everything!

Awful, seriously the worst place i've been to in a long time. I had zero expectations coming to this place, because I knew it wasn't in the best area. All I wanted was a decent martini and some good music. We arrived, got slapped with a $10 cover charge (who do they think they are???), which for girls included a manicur and 2 martinis. For guys it didn't include anything...Not only was the manicure station closed, but our martinis were very SAD...watery cranberry juice does not equal a cosmopolitan....you'd think a "martini ultra lounge" would pride themselves on making a good martini. There is mandatory coat check for $3 too, enforced by some giant bouncer that barks at you when you enter. Give me a break! Seriously, I will never go back and I've made it my mission to telle veryone how awful it is. Don't go there, awful awful awful.
Pros: Street parking, that's about it.
Cons: Watery Martini, mandatory coat check, cover charge, bad ambiance, bad location, awful everything about it
