“This is my favorite restaurant”
This is my favorite restaurant.
This is my favorite restaurant and I eat there on the average once per week. I almost always order the chicken enchilada soup and the ribeye steak with the loaded mashed potatoes (bacon, shredded
cheese and green onions) and broccoli (formerly seasonal vegetables). I also order the blackberry ice tea. The steak is so good that I usually eat it with nothing else on it. Once in awhile I put a little salt on it but even that's rare. I have regular waitresses that know what I want and I don't even have to order anymore unless it's just to tell them that tonight I don't want the soup. They're friendly and if my
wife is out of town they'll take a little extra time to chat with me if they
can see I'm feeling lonely. Jennifer, the manager, sometimes sits
at our table and chat's with us for awhile. I've been known to walk in
at 8:30pm and say I was in a bit of a hurry and I was done and out the door in 35 min. If I'm not in a hurry I never feel rushed. They play music but it's in the background and never intrusive. The food is
slightly spicey, some might find it a little bland if they're used to five alarm stuff that destroyed their tastebuds years ago, but I find it just
perfect. If you write a review on their webside when you get home they take it to heart. Once in awhile my steak used to be overcooked but they always offer to bring me another and sometimes they've even taken the entire dinner off my bill without my even asking. Generally there's not any wait unless I come during the middle of the dinner hour and want a specific waitress. I've always found the washrooms to be clean and parking convenient. I don't know if they take reservations because I've never needed them and the wait, if any, is never long.
Families and an after-work crowd come to this relaxed Tex-Mex chain for sizzling fajitas and a buzzing bar scene..
In Short
Festive decor of colorfully tiled tables, vintage photographs and sunny Southwestern accents welcomes an all-ages crowd at this informal hangout. Youngsters and their parents pile into dining room booths; casual business types toss back margaritas and watch televised sports at the bar. The menu features mild versions of Lone Star state favorites, from double-basted baby back ribs and steak fajitas to red-beef chili and deep-fried onions.
