Chicago >Westend Dental
Don't be fooled! Westend Dental solicits reviews from their patients by telling them that they'll be entered into a raffle for prizes like iPads for their reviews. Of course you're going to get good reviews; do you really think Westend Dental is going to pick someone who wrote a bad review about them to be the winner of an iPad?
Honestly, they weren't awful but they certainly weren't so good as to get 5 stars from everyone. Keep looking.
Best Dentall Practice in Town - Expert and ON TIME.
I find it hard to write an adequate review of my experiences (plural) with Dr. Zander and the staff at Westend Dental. It is rare that a visit to the dentist is a happy occassion, as you may be in pain, the expense may be significant, and you are hoping not for a "great day at the dentist" but rather for a return to a normal routine which has been interrupted by some issue with your teeth or gums.
I find that I now have to contradict my expectations of my first paragraph. I have had an extensive amount of work done at Westend Dental and have found that it not only provides absolutely the finest quality work (to which I would sacrifice quite a bit in terms of service and "bedside manner") but also find that I always enjoy my visits there as the entire staff is friendly, greets you by name, operates on a tight schedule to prevent wait times, and explains - in as much detail as you desire - any issues they see, their plan for treatment, and potential costs of proceedures on best case/worst case scenarios.
You never feel rushed in or out, all your questions are answered, and - in my experience - they tend to run under budget! Finally, I have had one "I need to see the dentist ASAP" moment. The result was Dr. Zander skipping lunch and seeing me 90 minutes after I called. They will also provide headphones with your custom music choices and anything else they can do to make you comfortable. Truly GREAT service.
To balance my review, however, I will give you my one gripe with the location. Despite being able to take really cool digital pictures of your teeth using a tiny camera on a wand so you can see on a video screen what is going on and what they've done, they still use x-ray film (instead of digital x-rays) - but I did overhear them discussing the upgrade.
Truly they are the finest medical office I've been too of any type. I still don't WANT to go to get teeth worked on, but they really do make the process as enjoyable as possible and provide absolutely professional and top-quality work.
I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Recommended without reservation.
Convenient, clean, friendly dentist.. Have been very happy with Westend so far. Had to have some minor work done, scheduling was easy, pricing was reasonable, and staff is very friendly / hospitable. Was also happy to learn they don't use Mercury Amalgam fillings, so don't have to worry about mercury poisioning at this place either! :-) Highly recommend if you're looking for a new dentist.
Friendly, soothing environment.
I first visited West End Dental after years of not seeing a dentist.
I instantly felt at ease in the friendly environment and I found the hygienist very sweet and accomodating. In the 10 plus years that I've been a patient there I've never felt pressured to undergo unnecessary procedures. The service is incredibly thorough and very considerate of patients that are on edge around dental instruments...!
That's the way, I like it!.
I have been a patient at Westend for over 15 years which includes time when I lived in othe states (scheduled appointments around family visits). I could not ask for better Dentists (both Fiore and Zander) and Technicians.
The entire staff is always willing to work with you on any matter so long as you let them know - they don't read minds.
Dr. Zander is great. He and his staff are always friendly and welcoming, It's obvious that they really focus on the customer experience and making sure that their patients are always informed and comfortable.
I moved to the suburbs a few years back but still come in to the city for the great service that they offer. I've had a crown, bonding and cleaning services done with Dr. Zander, all with great results. I would definitely recommend West End Dental to anyone who's looking for a great dentist.
the best of the best.
these guys get it all right...
i am a fearful patient, and they take care if me. understand my busy schedule and work around it.
i spend far more time in a dentist chair than i like, but these guys always make me feel comfortable.
their technical accumen s fantastic. they send me txt messages to remind me of my appointment.
5 star recommendation.
Can going to a dentist be fun? YES!!!. Believe it or not, but I do NOT like going to a dentist. "What?", you say. AND, I am not a fan of getting a tooth pulled! "Hold the phone, mister!", you shout out. "You must be crazy, right? Everyone loves the delightful sound of a scraping periodontal probe on a tooth or the crackle of a root as a tooth is being extracted with a cow horn! AND, let us not forgot the terrific tones of a dental drill!" ;) Okay, my fellow toothed mammals, I know that hardly anyone enjoys these things ...but, what can we do? We need our teeth. This whole "talking and eating thing" is kind of important for us. Well, I have found a dental office for you. I recently discovered an infection in my gums from a misplaced crown ...well, the infection more or less discovered me. To be a bit more specific, the infection discovered a wondrous breeding ground underneath my crown where it is warm and wet ....YUCK! I was forced to find a dentist. *My previous one was a bit too far away for me to go to anymore. A coworker realizing my plight (and pain) recommended Westend Dental to me. It was close by and she loved it. I thought to myself, "Why not. All of them are the same, anyway. They are a thoroughly nasty place to visit and I might as well go to this one." I WAS WRONG, MY FELLOW CITY SEARCHERS! This office is great. They were friendly ...from the front desk to the chair. From the moment I walk in the door, they made me feel like I had been going there for years. They treat everyone with equal importance and respect whether it is just a cleaning to ...well, a horribly painful infection. I was the second one. The doctor was not only personable, but informative. He explained to me: exactly what was going on, the options in treating this, and even the pricing of procedures. *Money, unfortunately, is always an issue. When all was explained, we chose the best one for me and off we went to the land of extractions and whatnot. Though, the process was not one I would of ever put on my "bucket list"; I can say, he made me feel comfortable and never once did I have that feeling of dread I had experienced before in my past visits to other dentists. I felt at ease. To top it off, the staff has a great sense of humor. They truly love their jobs and all of us who come in with our minor issues and/or major problems. I even left with a smile after that day. Granted, I was a bit numb and drooling ...but, smiling never the less. :) If you need a dentist ...try this one out. You will not regret it. Oh, and you should floss every day. I thought, I should just say that.
THE BEST!. I have been a loyal patient for the last 12 years! That should say it all. The dentists are top notch and are up on all the latest techniques in dental care. They are constantly updating their dental knowledge. I would describe them as "new school" dentists. They also have the best hygienists around! Super friendly and genuine. I can't praise them enough. If you're looking for a dentist, this is your place!!!
Look no Further. I'm a new patient with Westend Dental and everything's been simply amazing! I've had a couple of visits so far and I was given the same care and attention on the second visit as I was on the first. Everyone is very friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to devote time to answer any questions. 5 STARS!!!
