Misleading Reviews

Don't be fooled! Westend Dental solicits reviews from their patients by telling them that they'll be entered into a raffle for prizes like iPads for their reviews. Of course you're going to get good reviews; do you really think Westend Dental is going to pick someone who wrote a bad review about them to be the winner of an iPad?

Honestly, they weren't awful but they certainly weren't so good as to get 5 stars from everyone. Keep looking.

I find it hard to write an adequate review of my experiences (plural) with  Dr. Zander and the staff at Westend Dental.  It is rare that a visit to the dentist is a happy occassion, as you may be in pain, the expense may be significant, and you are hoping not for a "great day at the dentist" but rather for a return to a normal routine which has been interrupted by some issue with your teeth or gums.

I find that I now have to contradict my expectations of my first paragraph.  I have had an extensive amount of work done at Westend Dental and have found that it not only provides absolutely the finest quality work (to which I would sacrifice quite a bit in terms of service and "bedside manner") but also find that I always enjoy my visits there as the entire staff is friendly, greets you by name, operates on a tight schedule to prevent wait times, and explains - in as much detail as you desire - any issues they see, their plan for treatment, and potential costs of proceedures on best case/worst case scenarios.

You never feel rushed in or out, all your questions are answered, and - in my experience - they tend to run under budget!  Finally, I have had one "I need to see the dentist ASAP" moment.  The result was Dr. Zander skipping lunch and seeing me 90 minutes after I called.  They will also provide headphones with your custom music choices and anything else they can do to make you comfortable. Truly GREAT service.

To balance my review, however, I will give you my one gripe with the location. Despite being able to take really cool digital pictures of your teeth using a tiny camera on a wand so you can see on a video screen what is going on and what they've done, they still use x-ray film (instead of digital x-rays) - but I did overhear them discussing the upgrade.

Truly they are the finest medical office I've been too of any type.  I still don't WANT to go to get teeth worked on, but they really do make the process as enjoyable as possible and provide absolutely professional and top-quality work.

I'd give them 10 stars if I could.  Recommended without reservation.

Have been very happy with Westend so far. Had to have some minor work done, scheduling was easy, pricing was reasonable, and staff is very friendly / hospitable. Was also happy to learn they don't use Mercury Amalgam fillings, so don't have to worry about mercury poisioning at this place either! :-) Highly recommend if you're looking for a new dentist.

Friendly, soothing environment

I first visited West End Dental after years of not seeing a dentist.

I instantly felt at ease in the friendly environment and I found the hygienist very sweet and accomodating. In the 10 plus years that I've been a patient there I've never felt pressured to undergo unnecessary procedures. The service is incredibly thorough and very considerate of patients that are on edge around dental instruments...!

That's the way, I like it!

I have been a patient at Westend for over 15 years which includes time when I lived in othe states (scheduled appointments around family visits). I could not ask for better Dentists (both Fiore and Zander) and Technicians.

The entire staff is always willing to work with you on any matter so long as you let them know - they don't read minds.
