TOOOO LOUD, OVERPRICED, RUDE!!. Its just a space and a bar,nothing exciting!! They are very rude and it smelled very bad, bathrooms are crappy!! it was just WAY TOO LOUD!!! the bartender ask me twice bcuz he couldnt hear me and TOTALLY AGREED THAT IT WAS TOO LOUD!! Its not a place to have a decent conversation,or even to meet someone bcuz there is nowhere to go but outside to talk!! its a just a hole in the wall where if yr drunk already its ok to go to wake yrself up! Cover charge is to expensive for that type of place! I went to other bars on halsted and had more fun!! We were able to go somewhere to meet new people and have a conversation inside!

EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE AND RUDE STAFF.
So much of the experience of going to a bar, or any establishment really, is the tone that the staff sets to make the experience a pleasant, positive, and fun one. It is this aspect of Hydrate alone that has earned it my one star rating. The other day, a friend and I were going to go to get drinks at Hydrate (a low-key bar located on Halsted that I'd heard good things about) but were so profoundly insulted by the woman working the door that we simply decided to leave. Her horribly inconsiderate, aggressive, and insulting demeanor were striking.
I am often wary of writing reviews for places that I don't like (I don't often have negative things to say about most places I visit, and Chicago is a great city with terrific bars and restaurants), but Hydrate absolutely confounds me with its atrocious customer service. I will not be going there any time soon, and certainly don't recommend supporting such an unfriendly establishment.

Party until the late Morning at Hydrate!. My friends and I recently went to Hydrate for a Valentine's Day party and had a blast! The cover was kind of expensive, but worth it since the party lasts until 5am. The new bartender Mike was super friendly and so HOTTTTTTTTTT! Staring at his rock solid six pack and body all night made us completely forget all about the vomit-smell throughout the entire club! ...my friends and I will be back!

THEY CHEAT!. went there, my frist drinkS was 2 beers and it cost 6 dollers, an hr later, it costed me 8 dollers. THEY MESS WITH THERE PRICES!!!!!!!! DONT TRUST THEM ON THERE PRICE! TRUST

PamdaBam. I jst was there last Thu, the club was packed and fun. Jst only the dance hall thats not much ppl as i expected, maybe becos its Thursday. Anyway, I'm a gal (straight one) but my first time with this pub , i would say recommended. The bartender is really hot as well.. so you should go to check it out tho.. Definitely have to go back... Ciao~

GREAT MUSIC!!!. I THINK THIS BAR IS PRETTY NICE IN TERMS OF MUSIC!!! YES IT IS A BAR.. NOT A CLUB... ALTHOUGH IT HAS A STAGE WHERE U CAN SHAKE IT... IT GETS PRETTY PACKED, I DONT THINK THE PEOPLE IS THAT FRIENDLY BUT IT IS A PLACE WHERE U COULD HAVE FUN AND GET WASTED!!! COMPARED TO CIRCUIT THIS CLUB IS A +++++... THEY ALWAYS HAVE DIFFERENT DJS AND THE MUSIC IS VERY HOT, FOR THOSE WHO KNOWS ABOUT REAL CLUB HOUSE MUSIC, YOU SHOULD GO THERE AND JUDGE IT YOURSELF

Okay place. This place is alright, I liked the Hole better.!, there is not that much room to dance or hang out really, it gets really hot and not a lot of room to breath.

AVOID THIS PLACE!. alright this place is a dump and they charge way to much to get in this joint. Im sorry $10-$15 cover at the door..please i could by like 3 beers at the next bar that doesnt have cover at all.. and plus this place doesnt have Bud products. The music there is real bad! the Bathrooms are small as hell and the service there is bad!
