WORMY FISH. Want super-expensive, not terribly authentic sushi with live parasites in it? Ask for Linda, who wouldn't refund our money. Unbelievably bad!

What a find!. My husband and I were a bit skeptic about coming back to the suburbs to try a new sushi place after a few average experiences, but we decided to do an early valentine's dinner here tonight. It is such a cozy restaurant with beautiful decor. The service is simply amazing, from the hostess to our server and even the sushi chefs! We ordered a few rolls and had the sea bass entre. I normally don't like cooked fish but the sea bass was so perfectly cooked and the sauce it was served in was very unique. We got a thorough explanation of each of the rolls we ordered as well as their wide selection of wines and desserts. If you can, try the stuffed mushrooms to die for! We had a great night, thanks to Wildfish

Lovely night out. My friends and I heard about a small sushi place in arlington heights and finally found a chance to go. This place is absolutely adorable from the atmosphere, deco to the quick, friendly service. I ordered the sea bass which was perfectly cooked with a unique marinate on it. I also ate some of my friend's catepillar roll which was delicious!! Our server was very attentive which added to our great night out. I will be going back soon!

Truly Appalling. In 29 years, I?ve never eaten at a place that attempted to rush my party out as abruptly as this one did. At 8:55, our waitress informed us that another party had a 9:00 reservation and that we needed to finish up. Because our friends had pre-ordered a special dessert, the waitress took it upon herself to bring out the dessert as my friend's wife was literally chewing a piece of maki.

The waitress then explained that the manager was "making me do this," and she was sorry - but that we still had to leave (as a table of food remained). After mentioning my displeasure to the manager, she offered me a $25 gift certificate. Unfortunately, at this place, $25 buys you one roll and leaves you with a few dollars left over.

Sushi for 4 - $200.

Dessert - $10

Getting your table bussed as you?re still eating - Appalling.

There are too many good sushi places around that will let you finish your meal (amazing concept). Avoid Wildfish like the plague.

Our new favorite place for sushi. We go for sushi about once a week, and also make it at home when we don't feel like going out.Last night was our first time at Wildfish, and definitely will not be our last. Our server was Hanna, she was very attentive with taking our orders, refilling the tea and softdrinks, appetizers were served very fast, best Gyoza and sauce I've had,Miso soup was very tasty. The entree came out on time shortly after the appetizers were finished.I think Hanna gave us fresh plates 3 or 4 times during the evening also.Prices were reasonable,I've paid less at other places, but I believe you get what you pay for.AAA++++.I highly recommend this place,as I will be returning again and again.

Disappointing. Last Friday night, we decided to try Wildfish in Arlington Heights. Based on the positive reviews we had read we expected excellent food. What we got was mediocre at best. We go out for sushi almost every week and are familiar with good Japanese food.

We started our meal with two bowls of miso soup. The soup was thin and watery and had an oily slick on the top which would not dissipate no matter how much we tried to stir up the soup. The tofu was sparse and tiny.

We ordered the Red Phoenix (spicy tuna over snow crab) Specialty Maki Roll. The Spicy Tuna was ground up (which was ground similar to Steak Tartar) and tasted vaguely fishy, but could not be called spicy. The snow crab was tasteless and at first we thought it was rice.

We then ordered Nigiri Sushi (Smoked Salmon, Big-Eye Tuna, Salmon Roe, Scallop, and Crab) which was ok, but nothing special.

We were not impressed with Wildfish and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Save your money and go elsewhere.

Best sushi place in the Northwest Suburbs!!!!. I first tried Wildfish about 4 years ago when this part of Arlington Heights was rebuilt. I was fairly new to eating sushi, so it was a pleasant suprise to have the wonderful chefs help me along with selections for my date and I. Since my first time at Wildfish, I have tried countless other sushi places. None even come close to the quality of food at Wildfish. I just ate there again today, and I left with the feeling that I won't be able to eat at any other sushi restaraunt again. The sushi at Wildfish is unbelievably fresh, wildly creative, and can suprise even the most experienced sushi fans. They always have new ideas and beautiful adaptations to their dishes. Not to mention the atmosphere is amazing. It is cozy, romantic, and hip all at the same time. The chefs are still amazing with their creations, but they will also take the time to answer any questions you have. Some of the so-called 'finer' sushi restaraunts in the area bring such a 'we are too good for you' attitude that is such a turn-off. Try Wildfish! You will love it. Friendly chefs and servers, cool and elegant surroundings, and absolutely AMAZING sushi!

Best Sushi by FAR!. I'm completely addicted to this place despite it's high price. Really the BEST sushi I have had by Far. I have been to most of the highly rated sushi places in Chicago (Sushi Samba, Mirai, Coast, Blu Coral, Tsunami, etc) and Wildfish is soooo much better. Though I live in Chicago and it's a bit of a trip, it's completely worth the price and the distance from the city. The only problem is that it has made me a complete snob about sushi! My favorites are the Red Phoenix, the Crispy Spicy Tuna, the Caterpiller, and the Crunchy Muffy. Delicious!!!

Great but really pricey. Me and my husband tried this place last night. We both agreed that the sushi was fresh and really original (the one with the mozzerella cheese melted all over it was really good and interesting), but at 12-18 dollars a roll (for the good ones, and if you're going to try this place, you must get the good ones), it's kind of hard to think about going back and trying more. It was a really comfortable and hip place, with cool music playing--definitely romantic! Also, there is a full bar, although, beware that the martinis are not a very good deal. My Cosmo was really heavy on the cranberry. Overall very good if you can afford it.
