The Scene – The stretch of Broadway between Diversey and Belmont isn't exactly teeming with romantic dining options--kebab shops and diners are more the norm--so this low-lit, upscale Korean restaurant feels especially fresh. Stylish, contemporary surroundings--textured, soft gray walls, ambient music, slim black leather chairs--make the professional Lakeview crowd feel right at home, and service is warm and welcoming, too. – – The Food – Koryo's user-friendly menu of well-executed Korean rice and noodle dishes make this a solid choice for first-timers and bi bim bop…
only place you can have korean gal-bi with japanese roll
by stolenbrain
their food is great, service is excellent!
I think things have been changed a bit., since the other reviews are pretty old.
they now have japanese roll and entree and they are so reasonably priced and taste is awesome!
they are BYOB so if you bring your own wine, they will open it for you.
well, what else, I have been there couple times recently. they never let me down. i had a japanese roll as an appitizer and had kal bi with bibimbob as entree with my girlfriend. it is good way to enjoy koryo's speciality where you can have japanese food and korean food with guaranteed taste with fair price
I think they no longer open for the lunch.
Great Food!

I went to Koryo recently and they have added a sushi bar. I thought I try something from it and they had some great maki rolls. Nicely decorated and rolls that I have not seen in other places in Chicago. They still had the same great Kalbi, bulgogi and other Korean treats. I highly recommend this place.
Good Intro to Korean food
by maudruthyn
This is the first Americanized Korean restaurant I've been to, so I was a bit surprised/amused by the experience. The menu, which is written entirely in English, will help you manage your expectations through the Americanized fare. Good place to take your friends who have never had Korean food, but not a good place to take your foodie friends who demand authenticity.
- Pros: Service, Ambience, Price
- Cons: Not authentic
