“On Sunday Maeve turns into a full bore Redskins bar.”
“but now that I know they do even serve food or quarter drafts I was relieved to find such a wonderful, grown-up neighborhood bar.”
New to the Neighborhood...and found our new bar!. I was suspect after reading "partygirls" reviews...but now that I know they do even serve food or quarter drafts I was relieved to find such a wonderful, grown-up neighborhood bar. My wife and I are newer to the area and we love Maeve. We were afraid it would be a typical Lincoln Park bar but were were pleasantly surprise and we will continue to patronize Maeve and send our friends there!
Sunday Funday!.
I am a die hard Redskins fan living in Chicago. On Sunday Maeve turns into a full bore Redskins bar. It's awesome. $3 for any draught and $15 buckets (6 bottles) this place is truly a great deal!
If you are a Skins fan who happens to live in Chicago, stop in during football season and join in on the fun. Hail to the Redskins blasts on the speakers after every score!
Mavey not?. I went there on Tuesday night for quarter draws (don't forget to bring your own mug), and $1 burgers, and the men's bathroom toilet was overflowing all over the bar. No one that worked there seemed to notice. The smell of raw sewage was almost unbearable, but the quarter draws made it all worthwhile.

EXCELLENT !!.
Me and my friends had so much fun here. Very very nice place to visit. It can be a quiet place to hang out or you can make it a fun place :) Atmosphere is great and the staff is excellent. I love the fact that the owner is always there, if you ever need anything she can help!
The only thing - no Apps for late night munchies - have to go across street -- BUT the place doesn't smell like food so its all good :)
Maeve. My boyfriend and I live in the area and walked by one evening. We went in and met Tiffany (the owner). She was so very sewwt and from that day on...she remembers what we drink and our names. She and her staff are wonderful and really make you feel at home. She has wonderful promotions that run during the week and has fun nights out for the girls (which means guys...there is a bar full of girls just waiting on you to stop by). My boyfriend go there once a week for a relaxing evening with friends...although sometimes the night gets a little more exciting than relaxing...and it is always great fun!
Wonderful. Waiters and waitresses are is very courteous and the drinks are strong. If you are looking for a great place to unwind, I recommend.
Maeve - Wonderful Atmosphere.
I rate this new establishment a very high score - even with "tvs" and occasional loud 'frat boys' the atmosphere is exceptional. It is hard to pick the population of clients. I would suggest to the person who was disappointed by the 'frat boys' to give Maeve another try...my experiences have been wonderful, my husband and I will continue to frequent the bar as well as tell our friends who have not tried Maeve to stop in for a cocktail, beer or wine.
Here's to Maeve ~ Let her live a long life.
It's just ok.... Maeve looks like a great date place from the outside, so since it's within walking distance from my place, it was a natural selection for me and my date. We wanted a romantic, classy wine drinking experience. Not the case with Maeve's big screen TV's and screaming frat boys. I think they are trying to please too many people at one time and it's not working... unless a sports bar wine bar is the atmosphere you desire... (If that's the case, it could really benefit by adding a pool table.)
A polished Lincoln Park wine bar with warm neighborhood charm..
The Scene
A gleaming dark wood bar, wall paneling, art deco touches and ceiling fans lazing overhead create an upscale but comfortable ambience. Cozy couples sit side by side on the banquette along the mirrored back wall, while groups of neighborhood folks perch on comfy, sturdy stools at the bar or raised tables. Flat-screen TVs over the bar and in most corners are tuned to local sporting events. The music mix ranges from Sinatra to retro rock.
The Draw
Flickering candlelight and a tony vibe make this a destination for those seeking a touch of romance, but a casual crowd keeps things light. While a full bar is available, the wine list is the highlight: Nearly two dozen wines from around the globe are offered by the glass and a few by the bottle. Martinis--shaken tableside and served in frosted glasses--are popular as well.
