This is a sports-fan's sports bar. Die-hards in baseball hats and jerseys gather here to worship the gods of Wrigley in style. Contemporary decor, including exposed brick, smooth, wood-paneled walls and gleaming wooden floors is embellished by little besides the framed color photographs of celebrities singing the seventh-inning stretch. The games du jour are shown religiously on thirteen wide-screen TVs throughout the bar. Groups of buddies nosh on stellar American pub fare such as quesadillas topped with pico de gallo and avocado, or the bar's thick, fresh Angus burgers, which, in an homage…

A must when out in Wrigleyville!!!!!

by kjdance0531

This place is one of my favorites in Wrigleyville. The bartenders are quick and the service is awesome! The servers are always friendly and always attentive. When I was there I got one of their pizzas, and would reccommend the food to everyone. If you are looking for somewhere to go during the week for a drink after work or just with a group of friends, this is the place to go. If you are looking for good music and a fun, friendly environment on the weekend then Tryst is your place as well. I will for sure be going back in the near future!

  • Pros: Great service, food and environment! Good drink specials- ($5 martinis on fridays as well as $10 happy hour from 8-10)
  • Cons: ...cant think of any...

Best lounge in Wrigley!!!

by libranic

This is a great upscale lounge located in sports bar central. It's one of Chicago's best kept secrets! Great staff, great food (try the pesto pizza), and a fun atmosphere (especially during the Michigan State games!!). They have great specials too ($5 martinis when I was there and I know they have $6 pitchers of beer during the State games). This is a great bar if you are a little older and want to skip the college bar feel of most of the other bars in the area.

  • Pros: Great specials, good food, very fun staff!!

Tryst is by no definition high scale

by hottie81

Tryst likes to pretend it's high class, but really, any lounge that would have $3 u-call-its is cheap. The space is narrow and stuffy, the crowd is pretentious and need to put their money where their mouth is. Bartenders and bouncers who work there need to get off their high horse and just accept the fact that they're working at a college bar.

  • Cons: unfriendly, pretentious, cocky

The Details on The Stretch Bar & Grill

Where to Sit:

Snag a seat on the raised platform at the lounge's large front windows (open when the weather is nice) for good Clark Street people-watching.

When to Go:

Friday and Saturday nights are packed, a good scene if you're hoping to hook up. Weeknights, especially in the eary evening, are quieter and better for leisurely dinners and drinks.
