Editorial Review for Finn McCool's – by Maura York
In Short
Like siblings Celtic Crown in Lincoln Square and Full Shilling in Wrigleyville, this spacious Division Street Irish pub/sports bar is awash in dark wood and select knick-knacks to perpetutate the Emerald Isle theme, continued by a food menu that includes fish-and-chips and an always-available Irish breakfast. It also features great daily dine-in specials, an Internet jukebox, high tables with denim-covered seating and a gaggle of TVs for sports viewing.

The service was horrible, the food was barely edible at best. For a bar that claims to have a good menu it fails. The greasy fish(they called it fish) was awful! The steak sandwich wasn't steak, but some beef type material they passed off as a steak. So then plan on wasting your money and visiting your doctor after attempt to eat it. Bon Appetite..
Pros: NONE
Cons: Too many to list

Skip Finn McCool's if you're looking for a bar in Chicago. The service is terrible. Waitresses and bartenders will walk right past you, that's if they come at all. The free wing buffet on Friday comes with a price. Your dignity. Some African-American customers are warned by the large bouncers that they must buy alcohol or pay for wings, even though I've never seen anyone there eat w/out at least buying a beer. Non-ethnic customers are never issued this caveat. I've also seen African-American customers harassed by waitstaff even though they are eating and enjoying beverages peacefullly. Their response to their unequal level of service is "You can go somewhere else if you don't like it." That quote came from Michael, the manager on duty. Even though I am white, this behavior disgusted me. When I asked the bouncer why he approached the couple at the next table so rudely, he responded "I'm just doing my job." Avoid this place.
