Best ice cream in town!. This small family owned business is wonderful. Scooter's is a great place to go with the kids. They give free itty bitty cones for toddlers - my daughter can't get enough of it. The owners and staff are friendly and the service is exceptional. The owners are always there and socialize with the customers. It has a real cozy atmosphere. I first saw them on the Food Network and had to try them out. I have been a loyal customer ever since!

Best Ice Cream in the State!!!. Since discovering Scooter's, I manage to visit there several times a week. They are great people making an excellent product. They know their regulars, listen to customers' feedback, and are actually a good value in the premium ice cream world. But the best thing about Scooter's is the quality of the ice cream! Frozen custard is simply the smoothest, creamiest ice cream you've ever had, and they are one of the best at making it. Have some today!

The Best Ever.... When I lived a few blocks away in Roscoe Village, I would visit Scooters at least two or three times a week. Now that I'm not so close, I still try to make at least a weekly visit. The owners remember the regulars and try to accommodate flavor requests (like peppermint stick custard in March instead of December). I've introduced several people to Scooters and all have gone back without me numerous times, they like it so much. One of the best things in Chicago!

YUMMMM. I love Scooters! I go about twice a week for a little cone to kill my chocolate craving. It totally hits the spot! And, it doesn't leave me feeling gross like a lot of other ice creams do. Probably because they only use a 10% butterfat instead of 14-18+%. Whatever it is, I hope they keep it up!

Scooter's is on a crusade to convert Chicagoans to frozen custard: It's denser and richer than ice cream because it contains egg yolk and less air and ice. Scooter's makes custard fresh every day, offering chocolate and vanilla flavors in waffle cones. The Concrete blends custard with mixed-in candy or flavorings like caramel, brownies, Butterfingers, hot fudge, coffee or raspberry syrup. Kid-sized specials include sundaes, floats, Italian ices. Intelligentsia coffee and hot dogs are also available.

Love IT. I don't normally go out of my way to praise places, but WOW. This place is great. I tried their hot dog because I heard good things about it...try their "red relish"....but their custard is what they are known for....for good reason.

The owners were there when I was there. They seem to really know their stuff, and they really seem to know their customers. WoW. Don't see that too often

NeverGrowUP. BEST ICE CREAM I have ever had. They tell me it's just another style of ice cream, but it tastes better than any ice cream I have ever had. I will drive by other ice cream shops to visit Scooter's. They are one of the best values on top of being a very tasty treat. I'M Hooked! This is now MY ICE CREAM SHOP!

Try It, You'll Be Hooked!. As soon as I saw I had a frozen custard place around the corner from me, I couldn't wait to try it. And I wasn't disappointed - Scooter's is the best custard I've ever had. My boyfriend and friends were skeptical, but after trying it, they're hooked too. One of my friends drives up to Lakeview from Hyde Park at least twice a week for a custard fix. The owners are great, definitely know their regulars and make an effort to try new flavors and take advice from their customers. It's a great place!

Goferin. Hands down the best ice cream I have ever had. CREAMY!!!! YES! Great, fast service too. Staff very friendly and helpful. The owners took time to talk with our group...not just friendly hello, but entered into a conversation with interest about our group. Of course we talked about ice cream, too!! Just a wonderful place with a top quality product offering. A happy place!

Master. Scooter's Rocks. This is great ice cream. Thank goodness these guys opened in Lakeview. I am addicted. The owners are wonderful...always willing to chat and helpful. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Best value in the city for a terrifice product and fast service...and hands down the best ice cream around.
