Editorial Review for India House – by J.P. Anderson
The Scene
This comfortable Indian restaurant fits into the neighborhood's upscale scene with white tablecloths and waiters in formal attire. Sophisticated decor includes buttery yellow walls, maroon accents and traditional Indian carvings and antiques. Local business diners wander in for the popular lunch buffet; evenings mean mostly takeout and delivery. Low lighting and soft music make this a romantic date spot as well.
The Food
The traditional Indian menu lists a whopping 145 items, but most lunchtime diners don't even peek--they're here for the buffet. It's a fresh, satisfying spread with 14 changing items, from tantalizing vegetarian plates like spicy okra masala and aloo gobi (cauliflower and potatoes) to full-flavored chicken and fish curry, plus flaky naan and sizzling tandoori chicken delivered right to the table. Menu favorites include light vegetable samosas, fiery red chicken vindaloo and desserts like gulab jamun: golden-fried pastry balls soaked in warm saffron syrup.

Hi Guys, I have been to the lunch buffett on the weekends twice. Pretty good. I don't have any clue why some people are rating it one. I think they expect too much. I feel the correct rating would be 4. I may not be the best buffett I had. But decent seating. The buffet is almost full on sundays. Lot of indian as other people. They provide a tandoori chicken as soon as u enter, which is nice. You can ask for more, if you like it. Then there are 4 vegetable and 4 non vegetarian items. Reasonably good. Then you get mango icecream and jamoons to finish. So I think it is a good try. 90% of u will like it. Thanks and bye
