The manager Brad is simply the best!!.
If you go to Jilly's Piano Bar, you will receive exemplary service from a manager by the name of Brad!! He is a professional in his field of managerial finesse in the Chicago Nightclub scene!! I have almost never had such attentive service than I received at Jilly's Piano Bar, and Brad is the person who made sure that everything ran smoothly!! Brad is one of the best executive managers that I have seen at any bar or nightclub ever!!

Great paino bar...yummy martinis!.
We went to Jilly's after a wonderful dinner at Gibson's Steakhouse. It was in the middle of summer, so they had the front of the bar completely open to the outdoors. The atmoshpere was great, the service was quick and friendly and the martinis were very yummy! Even though it was a little crowded, it was still somewhat romantic, and we really enjoyed the live music. We are in our early thirties, so I guess we "fit right in", however, we did see people in their twenties - fifties. Depending on how much you enjoy martinis, it could get expensive...but martinis aren't cheap anywhere you go! Jilly's does not disappoint! We had a great time.

Romantic and Cozy.
Jilly's was a place my boyfriend and I stumbled upon while we were touring Chicago for the weekend. Though we were a little younger than most of the crowd there, we liked it just fine. The tables were initimate with candles, the walls adorned with photos of the Rat Pack, and the music boasted many old favorites. Definitely a good spot for a martini, but more of an early evening locale for the 20 somethings.

The Rat Pack rules this Rush Street bar, a happening see-and-be-seen scene for the 30-something set..
The Scene
Pictures of Frank, Sammy and the boys adorn the deep-red walls in this longtime Gold Coast establishment that still attracts a full house every night of the week. It's classy, but not uptight, and there's never a cover, even after 9pm, when the live music gets going. Small circular tables line the bar, and there's a cluster by the front windows where you can hear the music, but not see it. Get there early if you want a seat--it's first come, first served.
The Draw
Jilly's attracts a steady flow of local personalities--baseball players, news anchors--and has been known as an occasional stop for visiting celebs. There aren't drink specials, but the cocktail selection is a draw on its own: champagne, specialty martinis (frothy mint-chocolate chip, for example), and a distinguished menu of cognacs and specialty whiskeys.

Jilly's New Look.
I Have not been down to Rush Street for quite awhile, but I was happy to see a new. cleaner, sharper Jilly's. The music is still great, but the staff seems friendlier and the place looks renovated. I recommend you try this new and improved version.
