nice atmospher. horrible service, food not done to specifications rude waiters not worth the time or money no thank you
NEVER GO HERE!!!!!. I had dinner with two other people on a Saturday night, the restaurant was not crowded and we had the most horrible service i have ever received. MY steak that I ordered medium rare came out well done, it was so crispy i could barley chew it! on top of that the server did not pay any attention to our table all night! Our drink glasses remained empty for over a half an hour my wine order was never put in and when we asked the bus boy to get our waiter (he told our waiter)' our waiter walked right past our table! I had to yell excuser me so he would give us his attention! My wine came out after my dinner when i wanted to enjoy it with the meal. my boyfriend's steak was so tough he couldn't cut it with his fork! I am so angry at this place i will never go back i do not recommend it to anyone! The manager was not helpful he took my one glass of wine off our check which did not account for our horrible steaks or the horrible service that we received!
Just plain O terrible.
I looked into trying something different for my fiance 30th birthday. We both found this place having a evening walk in downtown Naperville. We decided to celebrate his birthday at Tango's. I walk in and let the young lady know it's my fiance 30th bday and she tells me she will let me sever know.
Long story short(cause it's really long) Our service was the worst I have ever received, our server didn't know what he was doing, the food was tasteless and just horrible, and we never received a happy birthday. The manager walk to everyone's table it asked how things were and never once look in our direction. We had to wave down our server for water, bread, and check. One the check was ready that was the fastest thing we had received all night.
Won't recommend this place to even my worst enemy!
Disappointed.... I was excited to go to this place and try something different but was disappointed in the service, server, and atmosphere. We were seated next the wall where there is a glass window. The people who were waiting to be seated, were peering over the window all night - watching eat our dinner. The tapas were average and for dinner I ordered a spinach ravioli, my significant other ordered a steak with crab but was brought out steak and lobster. So my dinner got cold while we waited for his to come back out. Obviously would have been forgiveable except no one even bothered to apologize to us. Needless to say, we were very disappointed...
great food, poor service. I think the food here is great. However, during our last visit they sent our red wine out in white wine glasses. I'm not a wine snob but I don't think I should have to explain to an employee of a tapas bar the importance of the correct type of wine glass. Furthermore when we asked for red wine glasses the waitress said, "you're not going to get more wine because it's a bigger glass." After that, I doubt we'll go back.
Avoid at all costs!. This restaurant achieved a new low by failing at everything. From the mediocre food, to delivering the wrong drinks and being told by the wait staff 'I knew this wasn't what you ordered, but the bartender is inexperienced!' to exceptionally slow service even though the restaurant was only half full. However, the real insult was being charged for a glass of ice! Naperville has plenty of fine restaureants and I would avoid Tango at all costs!
Sophisticated choices. The food, skillfully prepared, reflects Argentinian origins. The ambience is subdued, tending toward quiet conversation. An excellent choice for dinner and they do have great steaks. I take my wife and two younger daughters occasionally and the dinner is always good.
User review by squeezzee. i love this place. i always get seated right away. I recommend the roof seating in good weather. Great for first dates and they always have good music playing. the food and the wine is always good.
