Great pediatric dentist.
After a horrible experience at a previous dentist, Dr. Kirtland was wonderful with our oldest daughter. Her "tough love" approach worked wonders to calm my daughter to the point that after just three visits, she was no longer is afraid of the dentist! (this is AFTER she had MAJOR dental work done)
I now happily bring all three of my children to Dr. Kirtland with no issues about visiting the dentist!
Giving yourself 5 stars......
Wow, seems like Dr. Kirtland might be writing her own reviews here. She's NOT a good dentist. I think the other reviews online speak for themselves. This office is full of disrespect and rudeness from her and her staff. If you choose to go to here beware!
I will not pay someone $$$ to give my children below average care...if I wanted a student then I would go to the free dental clinics. Give me a break this lady has it all worked out->free labor and then charge more than the insurance will cover. Plus hearing her talk about all herself-give me a break. She's crazy.
A Dentist Who Cares.
I normally don’t take the time to write these reviews, but stumbled across Dr. Kirtland’s listings while looking for a dentist for myself and was outraged at the 1 review left for Dr. Kirtland. We recently moved to the area from Florida and we were looking for a dentist to perform extensive work on our 2 year old whose teeth never developed properly and were decaying due to lack of enamel. Dr. Kirtland was highly recommended from other mom’s in the area so we made an appointment. Dr. Kirtland was very caring towards our daughter who was actually excited to go back for follow up visits. Our daughter had to be put under to have the work done, which was an extremely hard decision for us as parents. Dr. Kirtland did an excellent job of explaining our options to us and providing us with the information and knowledge to make the best choice for our daughter. The end results were nothing short of spectacular and most importantly our daughter is still excited to visit the dentist.
My only issue was due to complications with insurance, which I feel, could have been handled better by the office staff. But, we all know how difficult insurance companies can be, and in the end we are happy with the quality of work done.
HORRIBLE. I brought my son to Dr. Kirtland today for a regular check up, he is 4 years old and this was his first regular visit following a mouth trauma where my son had stitches in his lip and displaced front teeth. In the lobby the girl that came out to get him said were going to do this without mommy I looked at her and said, he is not going to go by himself as he is terrified b/c his first experience was quite traumatizing for him. I brought him in back we went in the room and he got in the chair and the dentist told him if you dont do this were making mommy leave he sat back but he didnt want to open his mouth she started counting at him like he was in trouble. I had been talking to him for about 30 sec when she said Im throwing you out because clearly he is in control of this situation and not you and I was told to go when I got outside the door I heard her say to him we told you what to do and you didnt listen. I will NOT return, he was sobbing and was so upset for the whole day
