In Short – For many, getting their daily jolt of java has become a daily morning ritual, and the cardboard cup with its infamous green label is the close companion of every coffee aficionado. Busy baristas work seamlessly behind the bar, juggling orders for their strongly-brewed drips and signature hot and cool beverages. While providing a wide selection of coffee specialties, pastries and various coffee related goods, patrons are invited to settle down in comfy armchairs and enjoy their favorite brews amid the chatter of the laidback yet caffeinated crowd.

The only experience I had there was before the "re-training." This store needed every bit of training they could get. The coffee was old. It turned that grayish-brown when you added cream. The service wasn't very good. When I tried to return the piece of poundcake I'd bought that was way to old to be served, (dry and hard,) all they said was, "well, it's the last piece. We aren't going to open a new one just for one slice."
Good Starbucks = Oak Lawn Train Station, and Orland Park @ 147th and LaGrange.
- Pros: Nothing worth mentioning.
- Cons: Terrible coffee, cake, and too many loungers in the store w/empty cups.
The Details on Starbucks
The Extras:
Purchase a Starbucks customer card and use it to receive fun rewards, like a free tall beverage when you buy a pound of coffee beans.
Fun Fact:
The Starbucks logo, a two-tailed mermaid, was based on a 16th century Norse woodcut, and supposed to be as seductive as coffee itself.
