The Scene
Belly's offers what all sports bars offer--beer, food and lots of TVs--but with an upscale, mod twist that includes a martini menu and a lounge transformation late-night and weekends. Late-20s and early-30s urban professionals watch flat-screen HDTVs from tall wooden tables in front, high-backed couches and restaurant-style tables in back, or at the 30-foot mahogany bar. Dozens of bottled, canned and draft beers quench thirsty souls, and an American-Italian menu featuring burgers, grinders and paninis fills hungry stomachs.
The Draw
The big, open room pleases many masters: Sunday through Wednesday, people come in jeans to watch sports or feed the jukebox, munch wings, and play Golden Tee. Thursday through Saturday, patrons spiff up in something black or sparkly, and voila--they're sipping martinis and swinging lounge-style with DJs who spin a bit of everything. Canned beers like Stroh's, Hamm's and Pabst are fun, though not terribly cheap.

Nice, upscale sports bar that is far enough from DePaul and Clark/Wrigley that you get a young professional crowd. Good place for a birthday party, as they'll offer reasonable all-you-can-drink specials.

First time Sunday nighter at Belly's. The new sundays are good, Awesome music being spun by two great DJ's...I actually want to dance! Great alternative to the sunday night after a game or drinks at the bar place

Save Time:
No need to dash to the bank for cash to play the jukebox or Golden Tee--an ATM sits across the room from the front entrance.
Save Money:
Tip back $1 bottles of Miller and Coors on Wednesdays.
Where to Sit:
Tables by the big-paned glass doors in front are more casual than the booth-like, couple-oriented tables in back. Plus in nice weather, those glass doors are opened.
